Happy Friday Friends,
Christina and I and our lovely team are happy to welcome you to our 70th Inventory Challenge, featuring Texture! I almost did not make it ... Seems like everything went wrong. But here I am, out of breath, but all there!

Mon amie Christina, notre talentueuse équipe et moi même vous accueillons à notre 70e Inventory Challenge, sous le thème de la texture... Je suis à bout de souffle, cette semaine fut assez chargée, mais malgré tout j'ai réussi.

Today, we are going to travel to Japan, as Tilda will make us discover the mysterious world of Geishas. I had managed to create a nealy white face for her, but I had a little accident while coloring her dress. To use the maximum of wetness for a nice blending, I hold my copics in my left hand, cap out... I was changing colors, and dropped the darkest pink, right in the middle of Tilda's face. Half an hour later, and an empty blender, I gave her back her lovely complexion, a tiny bit darker than I really wanted! Would you like to see my booboo? I took a pic, just in case, yesterday would be an hectic day, and I would not be able to make it! but we can all laug about it!

Nous nous apprêtons à explorer le monde fascinant des Geishas. J'avais réussi avec mes crayons copics à créer le teint blanc rosé uniforme des geishas, mais j'ai eu un petit accident! Pour profiter du maximum d'humidité lorsque je fais mes dégradé, je tiens mes marqueurs, sans bouchons dans ma main gauche, ce qui me permet de changer rapidement de couleur... eh! bien, j'ai échappé le rose foncé, en plein centre du visage de mademoiselle Tilda. Une demie heure plus tard, et un blender 0 à sec, j'ai réussi à réchapper mon image, mais en échange, Tilda a un teint un peu plus rosé! vous vous en rire?

For my card, I colored Japanese Tilda, from the Bon Voyage collection, with copics, stamped on x-press blending card. The glitter in Tilda's flowers is made with atyou spica gel pens. To meet my challenge requirements, I used two cuttlebug folders, from the Plum blossom set. To create the shiny look on the black pannel, I sprayed it with Goosebumps, and embossed all borders with Holographic powder. the shapes are from Spellbinders, the ribbon from my stash, and flowers also. My papers are leftovers of Kyoshi collection from Basic Grey, cardstock from stampin up.

Pour rencontrer mon défi, j'ai utilisé en arrière plan, deux plioirs de Cuttlebug, de la collection Plu blossom. J,ai vaporisé du Goosebumps sur le panneau noir, et embossé les bordures avec de la poudre holographique. Les formes sont de spellbinders, le ruban et les fleurs de mon inventaire. Mes papiers sont de la collection Koyshi, de Basic grey, un reste de feuille, et les cartons de stampin up.

INVENTORY CHALLENGE No. 69, You have been framed...

Happy Friday Friends.
thank God, this week is off.. I rarely say that, as time goes by too fast, but today thank god it is friday! Christina and I, as well as our lovely team, welcome to our 69th Inventory Challenge, featuring a Frame! Well, I had no time for a complete card this week, so I decided to frame an image. I have had that cute little magnetic frame for a while, in my kitchen, and pin my "things to remember" on it, a picture of my dog had been there for so long, that it was worn out. I intended color a scenery that would suit my kitchen's color, but never got to it. So.. this was my chance. I received an e-mail from Make it crafty, featuring this new Paris collection, and thought it was perfect. I selected Paris sidewalk Scene that I sized 7 X 7 to fit my little frame. the scene is printed on Strathmore Bristol Velum, and colored with Faber Castel. I distessed the edges of my image with Tim Holtz little distresser tool, inked with Scattered Straw, and black sooth; then I generously put a coat of Dazzle Versamark, and used Vintage photo embossing powder, followed by another coat of Dazzle and Holographic embossing powder. Here is the result!

Je ne suis pas fâchée de voir cette semaine se terminer! ce n'est pas dans mes habitudes, je me plains que le temps passe trop vite. Le thème de notre 69e défi, est un cadre. Je n'ai pas de carte à vous présenter, mais plutôt une image encadrée. Ce petit cadre magnétique décore ma cuisine depuis un bout, j'y avais placé une photo de mon petit chien, qui a eu la vie dure! et je me disais qu,il faudrait bien songer à la remplacer... le thème d'aujourd'hui me fournit l'occasion rêvée. J'ai reçu cette semaine un courriel de Make it crafty annonçant leur nouvelle collection d'étampe digitale et je suis tombé amoureuse de cette image: Paris sidelwalk scene. Je l'ai imprimée en 7 X 7, sur papier Strathmore Bristol Velum, et coloriée aux FAber Castel. J'ai vieilli les bordures avec mon petit outil de Tim Holtz, encré avec les encres distress Scattered Straw, et Black Sooth, puis généreusement enduites de Versamark Dazzle pour faire tenir la boudre à embosser Vintage photo, à nouveau enduite de Versamark, puis de poudre Holograpic. Et voilà... l'image de mon petit cadre.

INVENTORY CHALLENGE no. 68...

Happy Friday dear friends!
This week our Inventory challenge's theme is Hearts and more hearts... and a special one for me, on how the web can be a beautiful space for special encounters. When we put the list of challenges up, I knew I had to color tilda under a rain of heart, now knowing her story. Here is how it starts. I google her and happened to end up on Creashop Duymelot site in the Netherlands; she is available for purchase and I try to open my account with no success. I e-mail the webshop site, and get help form a lovely lady by the name of Astrid. With her help I give my order and get my stamp very fast. When tilda got safely home I advised Astrid, to learn that her shop bought this special edition Tilda when she learned that she has breast cancer. Honestly, I fell off my chair... I became clear to me that I would dedicate and send my card to Astrid, and tell you the story behind my project. As we are all woman, and subject to this terrible thing that cancer is, lets all join in thoughts and have a very special one for Astrid as she underwent her second chemo treatment on tuesday. yesterday, I read that she already had a new look...

Le thème de notre Inventory Challenge cette semaine est Hearts and more hearts. Derrière mon projet cette semaine, il y a une histoire bien particulière. Elle illustre bien à quel point le web est un espace particulier. Lorsque j'ai dressé la liste de nos défis, et j'ai sélectionné le thème d'aujourd,hui, j,avais en tête une étampe Magnolia bien particulière, que je venais tout juste de commander. Tilda sous une pluie de coeur affichait non disponible depuis un bout, étant donné qu'elle était une édition spéciale et qu'on pouvait se la procurer uniquement auprès d'une boutique en ligne de la Hollande je surveillais régulièrement si la boutique s'était réapprovisionnée. Un bon soir, la chance était au rendez-vous, mais je ne parvenais pas à créer mon compte. J,ai donc communiqué avec la boutique pour obtenir de l,aide; la gentille Astrid m'a aidé, et j'ai pu compléter mon achat. Lorsque Tilda est arrivé à bon port, j'ai envoyé un courriel à la boutique Creashop Duymelot; dans sa réponse Astrid m,a appris que sa boutique avait fait l,achat de cette Tilda au moment où elle a appris qu'elle était atteinte d'un cancer du sein. Je me suis effondrée sur ma chaise... et j'ai su à ce moment que ma carte prendrait la direction de la Hollande, et qu'elle serait faite pour Astrid. Nous sommes toutes des femmes potentiellement sujet à cette terrible maladie. Je vous demande de prendre un moment et d,envoyer des ondes de courage de l'autre côté de l'Atlantique, Astrid recevait son 2e traitement mardi... Hier, j,ai lu un courriel qui me disait qu'elle avait changé sa coiffure...

I have stamped Tilda on x-press blending card, and colored her with my copics. Then, I had no idea of what to do next, so, I went for an inspirational trip on the web, I ended up on Mariannes Papiverden 's blog, I invite you to visit her, she is a super talented lady and does magnificient work. I was inspired by the irregular folds of her cards, and what to do then, just presented itself. I used my cricut to make this wonderful frame, and it,s shadow, that I sprayed with goosebumps.I also used this little technique with irredescent embossing powder, around the frame and the paper to give volume; I used the beautiful papers by Fancy Pants, Love story, got my cheery lynn favourite die cut, heart border, flowers and ribbon, et voilà...

J,ai étampé Miss Tilda sur x-press blending card, et coloriée avec les copics. Puis, je n,avais plus d'inspiration... dans ce cas, je voyage sur le web à la recherche du déclic! Je me suis retrouvée chez Marianne en Norvège, je vous invite à la visiter, elle est super talentueuse, et publie des projets de toute beauté. Je me suis inspirée de ses maintes cartes à plis irrégulier, et j'ai vu comment j'encadrerais Tilda. Je me suis servie de ma cricut pour couper ce magnifique encadrement, je l'ai encré et embossé, et j'ai vaporisé avec du goosebump l'arrière du cadre. J'ai aussi utilisé cette petite technique d'embossage avec poudre iridescent sur le bord de tous mes papiers, pour donner un cachet et du volume. Mes papiers sont de Fancy pants, Love story; et ma découpe favorite de cheery lynn, des fleurs et un ruban et voila...

CROP EN LIGNE chez Scrapbook ta vie Défi No.6 Projet humoristique

Mon 2 défi, je suis sortie littérallement de ma zone de confort. J'ai choisi d'explorer un style humoristique|`avec une image de Kenny K, qui s'appelle Bench couple. C'est une étampe digitale, imprimée sur Strathmore Bristol Velum, et coloriée aux Faber Castel. J'ai fait une carte "pochette". Je me suis servie de la collection Smoochable, de BoBunny, disponible chez Scrapbook ta vie, et que j,adore. Des couleurs un petit peu vintage, et des dessins très originaux, une palette avec laquelle j,aime travailler.

L'étiquette qui se glisse à l'intérieur, est décorée avec la découpe Tangle hearts, de cheery lynn, demandez la à Valérie, c'est mon coup de coeur du mois.

Unusual for me to post in middle week, but.. today is the grand opening of the on-line crop at Scrapbook ta vie, and I am hereby, presenting one of my challenge: a color challenge, inspired by this cute picture.

Voici ma carte! J,ai utilisé Tilda with Cozy Heart de la dernière collection, Sweet Crazy love. Mes papiers sont de BoBunny, Crazy love collection. Tilda est étampée sur Strathmore bristol vellum, et coloriée aux Faber Castel. C'est une découpe de Spellbinder, Heart Circle, qui constitue la fenêtre transparente de ma carte, j'ai utilisé 2 feuilles d'acétate, entre lesquelles j,ai inséré des micro billes et des coeurs, pour former une Shaker card.

This is my card. I used Tilda with Cozy Heart, of the Sweet Crazy love collection. My papers are from Bo bunny, Crazy love Collection. I stamped Tilda on Strathmore Bristol Vellum, and colored her with Faber Castel. To make the aperture of my shaker card, I used the cute Circle of hearts Spellbinder.

J'ai mis des stickles sur toutes mes fleurs, ainsi que sur les feulles. j'ai créé mon épingle à chapeau, et décoré le tout avec une grosse boucle.

I have put lotsssssss of stickles on my flowers, inked and added stickes on my leaves, created my hat pin, and finished the decorative touch with a big bow.

Happy Friday dear Friends,
Welcome to our 67th Inventory challenge, with a love theme, but showing something baked! I had set my mind on birthday Fairy Lee, I adore this image from Mo Manning, in rubber, that I received in my very first DT kit from Scrapbook ta vie. Little fairy was stamped on Strathmore Bristol Vellum and colored with Faber Castel pencils. I love gate fold cards, and went straight for this style.

Bienvenue à notre 67ième Inventory Challenge! Cette semaine, nous cuisinons l'amour! C'est Birthday Fairy Lee, qui s,est imposée à moi, j'adore cette mignonne image, une étampe que j'ai reçue dans mon premier kit DT chez Scrapbook ta vie. Ma petite fée est imprimée sur Strathmore Bristol Velin, coloriée avec Faber Castel. J,ai choisi de faire une carte à plis irréguliers ( appelée Gatefold card).

All the glitter around the cardstock and the image is a little technique I use with Iridescent embossing power. I will prepare a little column on this for Scrapbook ta vie in a very near future. I used Bo Bunny papers, I have so many paper collections of this company, I loooooooooove them; the one I used for this card is SmoochableCollection, available at STV.

Un peu/beaucoup de brillant autour des cartons et de l'image! c'est une petite technique utilisant de la poudre à embosser iridescente, je vais préparer un petit article bientôt pour le blogue de Scrapbook ta vie à cet effet. Mes papiers sont de la collection Smoochable, de BoBunny; j'ai plusieurs tablettes de papiers de cette compagnie, je les adore! Bien entendu, vous les trouverez à la boutique!

Of course, I used stickles on my leaves and flowers. Goosebumps on Fairy Lee' skirt, and lotssssss of glossy accent on the cupcake frosting! The transparency of her wings is made with Smoooch. I created the stickpin, with lovely pastelpink bicone stones, and and added a spray of pearls colored with copics. Originally, my leaves were white, I color them with ink, and add lotsssssssssss of stickles on it. To keep the card closed, I use a tiny square of velcro.

Bien entendu, j'ai enduit mes feuilles et mes fleurs de stickles. La jupe de ma petite fée est couverte de Goosebumps iridescent, et beaucoup de Glossy accent sur le crémage du cupcake! Pour obtenir la transparence sur ses ailes, j'ai utilisé du Smooch. Je crée mes épingles à chapeau, et celle-ci est composée d'un coeur en argent, et de jolie pierres rose; derrière, j'ai ajouté une gerbe de perles, que j'ai coloriée aux copics. Mes feuilles sont blanches, je les ai couvertes d'encre SU douce peau, et certainement céleri, puis j'ai étendu beaucoup de stickels dessus. Pour garder ma carte fermée, j'ai collé un petit morceau de velcro derrière mon image.

Inside, I planned a little pocket, practical for inserting a check or a gift certificate. I left plenty of space for writing your wishes, and decorated the space with a cute little SU stamp. On the last pannel, I used this gorgeous diecut by Cheery Lynn, that is my coup de coeur for this month!
A l'intérieur, j,ai conçu une petite pochette pour y glisser un chèque, ou une carte cadeau, amplement d'espace pour y inscrire ses voeux dans le grand cerle décoré d'une jolie étampe en coeur de SU. Sur le dernier rabat, je me suis servie de cette magnifique découpe de cheery lynn, provenant de la boutique. elle est mon coup de coeur de ce mois!

It is time for our monthly challenges at Scrapbook ta vie. Our Scrapcouleur theme this month is a magnificient one, in shades of purple, which I adore. I choose Tilda with daisy, from the latest collection, and the wonderful Bobunny papers, Garden Girl, that I found at Scrapbook ta vie. Tilda is stamped on Strathmore Bristol Vellum and colored with wood pencils ( Faber Castel). the flowers are from my stash, and I made the beaded leaves.

Bon matin,

Je vous présente maintenant le sketch de page pour notre défi du mois chez Scrapbook ta vie. Je voulais faire une page digne de la petite Isabella, qui s'était habillée en princesse pour venir me voir! Je me suis amusée avec Photoshop à couper et repostionner mes photos... oh! que j'ai besoin de pratiquer.... J,ai vieilli, encré et embossé à la poudre Vintage photo et Iridescent tous les bords de mes cartons. Ma dentelle est de chez la boutique, passez nous voir, nous avons un assortiment assez fantastique! Les fleurs en perles sont un cadeau d'une chère amie. c'est une gerbe que j'ai séparée pour les besoins de ma page, et colorié chaque perle avec les Copics. Je construit présentement sa jumelle, j'aime travailler en page double!

It is now time for our monthly Page Sketch Challenge at Scrapbook ta vie. I created a page with glitter and flowers for little Isabella, who wore her princess dress to come to my house. My papers are leftovers from a DCWV collection called MiCasa, I had for a long time. I distressed the borders of my cardstock and papers, inked with Walnut stain, embossed with Vintage photo powder, and another coat over it with Iridescent powder. My lace is from Scrapbook tavie, the spray is a gift from a dear friend, I separated it, to suit my page, and colored the beads with my copics. I am in the process of making the twin to this page, I love working in double pages.

Mention LIEBSTER BLOG

Bonjour chères amies,

J,ai reçu dimanche la mention LIEBSTER BLOG de la part de Pinkypie, que je remercie du fond du coeur. Allez la visiter sur son blog, et laissez lui un petit mot encourageant! Son hommage m'a touchée profondément parce qu'il me vient de quelqu'un de chez nous. Cette mention origine de l'Allemagne et Leebster signifie en français "cher", "aimé", liebe veut dire amour.

Créer des cartes et des pages est devenu un besoin essentiel pour moi! Me retrouver à ma table de travail, crayons de couleurs et étampes, papiers et ciseaux tout autour de moi, est non seulement un plaisir, mais une passion. Voir jusqu'où une petite étampe amènera mon imagination! Je crée pour le plaisir d'abord et avant tout. Mais une reconnaissance de mon travail est accueilie avec beaucoup de bonheur. Voilà... maintenant je dois passer le flambeau! Je le ferai d'une manière non conventionnelle, telle que je suis!

Je décerne donc cette mention à chacune d'entre vous qui prenez quelques minutes de votre temps pour laisser une trace de votre passage sur mon blog. Sachez qu'un petit mot de votre part est le plus beau et le plus précieux témoignage que je puisse recevoir. Un écran c'est froid, et ne laisse percevoir aucune réaction, il est impossible de savoir si les gens aiment ou non notre travail, la seule façon est de lire les commentaires qu'on nous laisse. Cela me fait grandir, me pousse à explorer..

Inventory challenge No. 66 Buttons & Bows

Happy Friday Friends,
I can't believe January is coming to an end already... and it is our 66th Inventory Challenge! Not only do we have a fun theme this week, we also have an announcement, we are happy to welcome Sylvia from the Netherlands who will be joining our great team. Now, on to our challenge, Buttons and bows. I colored Tilda with wrapped heart for my card, first of all, because I just love this image, and secondly, she has a bow in her hair, a bow around the little heart, and buttons on her dress LOL : my challenge was met... I tried something different this week, a clean cut style of card. No flowers! just paper, and ribbon.

Je ne peux croire que janvier est déjà presque terminé... et que nous en sommes à notre 66e défi. Non seulement nous avons un thème intéressant cette semaine, notre équipe accueille un nouveau membre, BIENVENUE SYLVIA, qui habite aux Pays Bas. A notre défi, maintenant... Boucle et boutons. J,ai colorié Tilda with wrapped heart, tout d'abord parce que j,adore cette image, puis parce qu'elle a une boucle dans ses cheveux, une après le petit coeur, et des boutons sur sa robe! Mon défi est relevé LOL. quand même, j'ai élaboré un peu plus sur le sujet! mais je voulais expérimenter une carte simple et sans fleurs.

INVENTORY CHALLENGE No. 65 - Brow and Teal

Happy Friday dear blogger friends,
Christina, our lovely team and I welcome you to our 65th inventory challenge. I do love playing with colors, and brown and teal, is a very agreable challenge. I love the rich shade of chocolate brown that gives life and warmth to the vintage look of teal. I played once again with the beautiful Lost & Found Two paper, in the Breeze collection I got in my Scrapbook ta vie DT kit. Paired with the lovely Nostalgic Tim Holtz Kraft core cardstock, I think I could not go wrong. I wanted to give my card a bit of a nostalgic and romantic look, and I just had to color my favourte tilda of this Sweet crazy love colllection, Tilda with Lollipop, cause she is leaning on her bike... and I love bicycles. Enough bla bla... on to my card.

Encore une semaine qui s'achève sur notre rendez-vous amical, c'est un défi couleurs que Christina, notre équipe et moi avons choisi pour notre 65e édition. J,adore jouer avec les couleurs, etj'avoue que brun et aqua est un défi très agréable à relever. La richesse du brun chocolat donne vie au turquoise de nature froide et antique. Je me suis à nouveau servie la merveilleuse collection Breeeze de Lost and found two, que j,avais reçu dans mon kit de DT, de Scrapbook ta vie. Jumelé aux merveilleux cartons de Tim Holtz Kraft core, collection Nostalgic, je ne pouvais me tromper. Je voulais que ma carte exprime un certaine nostalgie et un look romantique. Je voulais aussi colorier ma Tilda préférée dans cette dernière collection, Tilda with Lollipop, parce qu'elle est appuyée sur son vélo, et semble rêver... et vous savez que j,adore les vélos... Assez de bla bla... voici ma carte.

INVENTORY CHALLENGE no. 64, Tilda waits for snow...

Good morning Friends,
Welcome to our 64th inventory challenge, which theme is "Resurrect an old maggie"; while searching for an inspiration, I was looking out the window, and started wondering where winter had gone, as I could see the grass in my neighbour's yard... It triggered my imagination, and I just saw my card! Waiting Tilda was just perfect for the scene I wanted to create.Take a close look at her feet... this is how Montreal looked until yesterday! Finally the snow has come, and Tilda will be able to play!

Bienvenue à notre 64e défi amical, notre thème cette semaine consiste à "ressusciter une Magnolia d'une ancienne collection". Je cherchais désespérément une inspiration! C'est en regardant les gazôns de mes voisins qu'elle est venue! Waiting Tilda était justement l'image qu'il me fallait pour créer une scène illustrant ce que Montréal avait l'air avant hier... car, la neige nous est tombée dessus, et Tilda pourra maintenant aller jouer avec son traineau.

She is from the 2008 Winter collection. I stamped her on Bristol vellum, colored with Faber Castel, and a bit of OMS. My papers are from Webster pages, Collection combo pack. The lovely berries are a gift from a dear friend, the ribbon from Elan, the charm is from my stash, colored with alcohol ink, the stamp (unknown collection) and the tag is spellbinders.

Elle est de la collection Winter 2008. Je l'ai étamjpée sur Bristol velin, coloriée avec les Faber Castel, et un peu de Taltine. Mes papiers sont de Webser pages, et proviennent de Scrapbook ta vie, tout comme mes cartons, de Tim Holtz. Les petits fruits en décoration sont un cadeau d'une chère amie, le ruban de Elan, la breloque coloriée aux encres à l'alcohol est de mon inventaire, et l'étampe d'une source inconnue, posée sur une étiquette de spellbinder.

I used the wonderful tag from marianne creatables along with the spellbinder scalloped circle and create a flake, on the inside. the snow flake border is from a Martha Stewart punch.

Pour l'intérieur, j'ai utilisé l'étiquette de marianne Creatables, disponible chez Scrapbook ta vie, le cercle de Spellbinder ainsi que le flocon, le poinçon snow flake de Matha Stewart pour la bordure.

Inventory Challenge No. 63, Charms

If you are like me, you are very happy that the holiday circus is behind us. Welcome back to our Inventory challenge, as we resume with brand new themes this year! We are going to have fun! Although I almost did not make it... blogger would not let me post my pictures, for unknown reason... I can't post the inside of the card as I am preparing the message, so it will follow... For this first challenge of 2012, Christina and I along with our great team, chose to play with charms. They make such lovely decorations on a project. .I have just received my new Maggies, and the sweet Tilda/Edwin couple just seem to be perfect! and what a fun it is to color this cute image. I stamped it on X-press blending card, colored with copics. I used the Crictut lacy labels cartrige to showcase my image. My papers are from My Mind's Eye, Lost & found, Breeze collection.

Si vous êtes comme moi, vous êtes certainement heureuses que la folie du temps des fêtes soit derrière nous. Je vous shouhaite la bienvenue, à nouveau, pour notre défi amical du vendredi; nous avons des thèmes tout nouveaux pour cette nouvelle année. Et, nous aurons beaucoup de plaisir! bien que ce soir - alors que je mets la touche finale à ce message, blogger fait des siennes et ne veut pas accepter mes photos de l'intérieur de la carte, j'ai bien failli ne pas avoir de photos dutout... Pour ce premier défi de 2012, Christina et moi, ainsique notre équipe, avons choisi de jouer avec des breloques. Elles font de superbes déco sur un projet. L,encadrement de mon image est réalisé avec la cassette Lacy labels de Cricut. Mes papiers sont de My Minds' Eye, Lost & Found, collection Breeze.

I would like Tilda with Sparkles to wish you a very very Happy New year, Health, Love, Peace and Happiness are my main wishes for 2012 for all of you my blogging friends, I would also add lotsssssssssssss of crafting time, and beautiful creations.

J'ai choisi Miss Tilda with sparkles pour vous souhaiter la bonne année...Santé, Amour, Paix et Bonheur, sont mes voeux pour 2012, à vous mes amies du web, je souhaite en plus beaucoup de temps pour vous amuser et de nombreuses créations.

I am a few days late... this is well known to my close friends! LOL, seems I have always been late since I gave birth to my kids. No excuse, just a fact. Or... I am becoming slower!!!

Je suis évidemment, un peu en retard! ce trait de caractère est bien connu des mes proches! Je suis en retard depuis que j'ai donné naissance à mes enfants....Ce n'est pas une excuse, c'est un fait! ou je deviens de plus en plus lente...

On to my card. I just love this altered clock die by tim Holtz, that I have used it again, in the same layout as my Christmas card. I wanted my clock to imitate an hourglass, so I added some mini beads between the 2 layers of acetate, like a shaker card! it also gave me the possibility to play with transparency, and place Tilda inside the card!

À ma carte, j'aime tellement cette découpe d'horloge, que je l'ai encore utilisée dans le même mise en page que mes cartes de Noel. Cette fois, je voulais imiter un sablier, alors j'ai ajouté des mini billes entre les 2 feuilles d'acétate. comme pour une carte Shaker. Je peux ainsi jouer de la transparence, et placer Tilda à l'intérieur de la carte.

She is stamped on X-press blending card, colored with copics, the light around the sparkles is done with Glazon and a bit of perfect pearl powder. Around my image, I stamped little flowers (Stampleglede Vintage garden) with badly contaminated versamark ! embossed with clear poweder, and distressed with Scattered straw ink. I inserte a tag behind the image made with the beautiful Marianne Creatables die cut. My papers are from Echo Park, Dots & Stripes collection. I made the cluster with gorgeous elements I received from my friend Cathy. the bow is from my stash.

Elle est imprimée sur Xpress blending card, coloriée avec copics; la lumière autour des étincelles est faite avec le Glazon et unpeu de perfect pearl. J,ai étampé des petites fleurs autour de mon image (Stampleglede vintage garden) avec du versa mark, très contaminé... d'ou la petite teinte rosée, embossé avec dela poudre transparente, et encrée à la distress avec, la couleur Scrattered Straw. Derrière l'image, pour écrire les voeux, j'ai glissé une étiquette créée avec les découpes Marianne Creatables que vous trouverez chez Scrapbook ta vie (simplement cliquer sur le mot Marianne.)

Scrap Couleurs de Janvier chez Scrapbook ta vie

Chez Scrapbook ta vie, nous débutons l'année en beauté avec 3 nouveaux défis que nous vous lançons.

Ce premier volet présente le Scrap couleur.
The first one is our Scrap couleur challenge.

Notre DT Jane, nous a choisi une palette de couleurs pas piquée des vers! Je voulais créer une carte d'hiver, pour l'anniversaire de quelqu'un de très cher à mon coeur. J'ai choisi Tida en patins, (elle fait partie d'une édition spéciale parue seulement aux Pays Bas), n'est-elle pas ravissante avec sa tuque toute croche? Je l'ai imprimée sur X-press blending card, coloriée avec copics. Mes papiers sont de Magnolia, les cartons colorés sont de Bazzil, le fond embossé est un papier de Best Creations. J'ai utilisé du Perfect pear pour les flocons de neige. J'ai fait mes fleurs à partir de pétales en papier mulberry, que j'ai teint et surlesquelles j'ai ajouté plein de brillant. Le sentiment est de Stampin Up.

Our DT Jane has selected for us a lovely color combination. I wanted to create a winter card for the coming birthday of someone very dear to me. I chose Special Edition Tilda in skates. I had been dreaming of coloring her ever since I set eyes on her. I love how she stands there, with her hat on the side! Just tooo adorable. I stamped her on X-press blending card, and colored with copics. My papers are from Magnolia, cardstocks from Bazzil, and the gorgeous white embossed cardstock is from Best Creations. I used Perfect pealrs to make the snow. I also made and colored my flowers with mulberry single petals and used glitter on them. the sentiment is from Stampin Up.

Défi Sketch de carte - Janvier chez Scrapbook ta vie.

Pour ce deuxième défi, je voulais une carte hivernale, mais pas nécessairement Noël, alors, comme il fait bon de souhaiter la bonne année, je trouvais que ma nouvelle étampe Furry Friends se prêtait fort bien à notre défi Sketch de notre DT Hélène.

For this second challenge, I wanted to create a winter card, not necessarily a Christmas theme, since my post would come in January. So, I went for a Happy New year card, featuring a new stamp I got: Furry Friend, I though she would be just perfect for my project.

Je me suis découvert une nouvelle amie, à part Tilda. Elle s'appelle Maisie ou Milly, en tout cas peu importe le nom, ces 2 petites filles se ressemblent, et l'artiste qui la dessine a maintenant une collection avec Sugar Nellie. Celle que j'ai choisi pour cette carte s'appelle Furry Friends, elle est trop mignonne, je n'ai pas pu lui résister! Mes papiers sont de la merveilleuse collection Merry Christmas, de Best Creation qui faisait partie de mon kit. J'ai étampé sur Bristol Velin, colorié avec Faber Castel, le brillant est une couche de Smooch clair. J,ai vieilli le tour de l'image, puis je l'ai encré avec Wasabi insoumis et Cerise Carmin de Stampin Up, puis, embossé avec de la poudre claire. la bordure en flocons de neige est un poinçon de Martha Stewart, le ruban de Elan (fabricville) et les décos sont un cadeau de mon amie Cathy. Ma petite breloque est de mon inventaire.

Whether she is called Milly of Masie, the artist that draws both of them now has a collection with Sugar Nellie. they both look alike so much, you can see her feature in some Lili of the Valley collection. Anyway, she has become my new friend, along with Tilda. I can't resist her... OMG... this is going to cost me a lot! I used the beautiful Merry Christmas paper collection from Best Creation that were part of my DT kit. I stamp Furry Friends on Bristol Vellum and colored with Faber Castel. The glitter on the fur of her coat is made with Smooch clear gloss. I distressed the border of the image, and inked with SU Wild Wasabi and Cherry cobbler, then I embossed with clear powder. The nice snow flake border is a punch from Martha Stewart.the ribbon is from Elan, (fabricville) and the nice embellishments a gift from my friend Cathy. My little charm is from my stash.

Défi Sketch de page chez Scrapbook ta vie

Voici ma dernière participation aux défis de Scrapbook ta vie pour Janvier, une page... il y avait si longtemps que je n'avais pas fait de page, quel bon feeling! Mais le sketch d'Hélène et cette photo étaient faits pour aller ensemble! D'autant plus que je venais juste de me payer cette magnifique découpe de Cheery Lynn, collection que Valérie a maintenant en boutique... faites vite, car elles s'envolent comme des petits pains chauds. Et n'est-elle pas magnifique? J,ai aussi acheté la petite bordure coordonnée avec des coeurs, tout à fait mignonnes. Les beaux papiers quej'ai utilisés sont de My Mind's eyes, collection Lost and found, série Breeze. Mes fleurs sont de Wild Orchid Craft, à l'exception de 2 que j,ai faites moi-même. J'ai utilisé les brillants de Martha Stewart pour couvrir la découpe.

Well this is my last post, for Scrapbook ta vie's challenges for January, a scrapbook page... I had not done a page for so long. However, Hélène's sketch and this picture of my son & DIL, were made to go together. along with this beautiful Cheery Lynn diecut that I covered with glitter. I also bought the cute little border, that is yet to use. The wonderful papers I used on my page are from My Mind's eyes, Lost & found Collection, Breeze. I made 2 of the flowers in my bouquet, the rest is from Wild Orchid Craft.

Happy Friday,
The countdown for Christmas is well under way... Only at the supermaket I could feel the pressure, everyone rushing around. Well... I had time for a last Christmas card. A special order for my son's friend. She wants to offer it to her grandmother, who loves hand made things and music, Mo's Carolers Tree just imposed itself to me. I printed the image on Strathmore Bristol Vellum, and colored with Faber Castel. My papers are from Basic Grey, Nordic Holiday collection, that I brought back from one of my latests visit at Scrapbook ta vie. I used lovely glittering leaves, and branches offered by a dear friend. The nice little berries are from the dollar store, as well as the cute pointsettia. the ribbon, bell and chain are from my stash. The sentiment is from Magenta.

Il y a de l'effervescence dans l,air, et c'est palpable, plus on s'approche de Noël. Juste à l'épicerie, on pouvait sentir l'énervement ce midi. Juste le temps pour moi de vous présenter une dernière carte de Noël. C'est une commande spéciale pour la grand-maman d'une amie de mon fils, qui aime la musique et les choses faites à la main. L'image de Mo Manning, Carolers tree. s'est tout de suite imposée à moi. Pour l'accompagner, j,ai choisi les papiers de Bssic Grey, Nordic Holiday, que j,avais rapportés d'une de mes expéditions chez Scrapbook ta Vie. J'ai décoré avec de jolies feuilles en brillant, et des branches offertes par une amie très chère. Les petits fruits sont du dolorama, tout comme le petit pointsettia. Les rubans sont de mon inventaire, ainsi que la chaine et le grelot. Le sentiment est de Magenta.

I love using my scrap of papers to decorate the inside of the card, and those folded pockets, are just perfect for that. Enough place to insert a gift card, or money.
J'utilise mes chutes de papiers pour décorer l'intérieur, et une pochette croisée s'y prête vraiment bien. L'endroit idéal pour y glisser un certificat ou une carte cadeau, ou des sous.

I printed the sentiment again on parchment paper, and used sizzix doves to decorate. I cut them in reflecting paper, I had pieces of. the same sentiment was used.
J'ai fait un rappel du sentiment à l'intérieur, sur un papier parchemin, décoré avec des colombes, une découpe de Sizzix.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish you a very Merry Christmas. All the best for 2012, Health, Peace and Love. And... lots of ME-TIME for crafting. I would also like to thank you for your support and constant encouragements all through this year, this sharing just make my creativity bloom.

INVENTORY CHALLENGE No. 62 - no lines...

Happy friday Friends,
For our 62nd inventory challenge and last one of this year, as we take a break for the Holiday period, Christina, our team mates and I have chosen to explore the No Line coloring technique. I had seen Zoe's coloring projects... but I never received the "call" to explore it! So, this week was my first attempt at stamping an image with pale ink, and being challenged to make the lines disappear... Although I am happy with the results, I did not like the experience at all, first because as you color, you loose all your reference points; it is also difficult to make any accents and create shadows as the lines disappeared... actually, I don't think I will repeat the experience!

Le thème de notre 62e et dernier défi de 2011, puisque nous prenons un congé pour la période des fêtes, est l'image SANS LIGNE. J,avais vu la réalisation de Zoe avec cette technique, mais bien que jolie, elle ne m'interpellait pas. Alors cette semaine, je me suis lancée... bien que je sois contente du résultat, je ne crois pas que je vais répéter cette expérience. Honnêtement, je n'ai pas aimé perdre mes repères, car les lignes s'effacent rapidement, et il est difficile de faire les ombrages, et d,accentuer.

I stamped Winter Tilda with Desert Sand Memento ink on X-press blending card, and colored with copics, all the accents were done with prismacolor, too afraid that the colors would blead. I used perfect pearl around my image to create the snow effect. I stamped and embossed little swirls around my image with Vintage Garden Stamps from STempleglede, then, I distressed the borders with Tea Dye, Peeled paint and Tattered rose. I matted my image with Spellbinders scalloped circle shape, sprayed Goosebumps on the green cardstock to make it glittery and glossy, and used AC white glitter cardstock under it.

J'ai imprimé Winter Tilda avec de l'encre Memento, Desert Sand, sur X-press blending card; j'ai colorié avec les Copics, mais les accents, et certaines ombres sont faits avec les prismacolor. N,ayant plus de repères, j,avais peur de dépasser! autour de mon image, le perfect pearl donne l'impression d'une petite neige qui tombe. Avec le jeu Vintage Garden de Stempleglede, j'ai embossé des petites fleurs, puis j'ai encré les rebords avec les encres disress, Tea Dye, Peeled paint et tattered rose. J,ai endossé l'image avec une découpe spellbinders, un carton vert enduit de Goosebumps, pour qu'il brille et du carton brillant de AC cardstock.

The lovely cluster is a branch of holly, offered to my by a very dear friend. behind I added some decorative mesh in red and green, and a big pink bow.
Le joli bouquet est composé d'une branche de gui offert par une bonne amie, derrière j'ai utilisé du jute (?) rouge et vert , et une grosse boucle rose accompagne le tout.

We finally have a french manufacturer Lime citron who has put up 3 beautiful round stamps with french wishes. I have printed and embossed it, then added a scalloped shape in glitter cardstock behind.

Le sentiment est de Lime citron, enfin, des sentiments ronds en français"; je l'ai imprimé avec de l'encre Artichaut toujours, puis embossé.

I used the wonderful Basic Grey collection, Nordic holiday, in the 6 X 6 size, that is available at Scrapbook ta vie.

Bon samedi,

Il semble bien que l'hiver soit enfin arrivé! ça fait du bien de voir un peu de blanc...Je trouve que toutes les lumières de Noël et le gazon ça fait pas très hiver québécois! Je vous présente enfin! ce que notre défi scrap couleurs proposé par notre DT Jane m'a inspiré. J'ai choisi une image de Mo Manning pour Stamping Bella, Irma et Vieno, que j,adore pour la joie qu'elle dégage et le plaisir à colorier qu'elle procure. Elle est imprimée sur Bristol velin, coloriée aux prismacolor et taltine. J'attire votre attention sur les foulards, lesquels sont enduits de Glaz On vintage, pour donner une jolie texture de laine et un fini brillant. beaucoup de stickles sur la fourrure et le pompom des tuques, ainsi qu'à leurs pieds, pour la neige. Mon bouquet est constitué d'une feuille de gui, coloriée avec la Distresss, puis enduite de glaz-on, sur lequel j'ai saupoudré des brillants. Un coup séché, j'ai étendu une bonne couche de stickles pour imiter du givre. Les petites cocottes et les aiguilles m'ont généreusement été offerte par un pin, près de chez moi! Je les ai couverte de Mod podge,pour les préserver, percé un petit trou à la base, et collé une épingle pour les fixer. Les jolies baies vienne du Dolorama!! Mes papiers sont de la collection Father Christmas de BoBunny, que j'adore pour son fini vieillot et ses belles couleurs chaudes.

It seems winter arrived this morning! we had a bit of snow, and it looks a lot nicer with the Christmas decorations, a lot more like winter in Quebec! I have finally been able to write the post about my dt participation at Scrapbook ta vie colour challenge that our Dt Jane has prepared for us. I chose the lovely image Irma and Vieno, from MoManning for Stamping bella, printed on Bristol Vellum, and colored with prismacolor and taltine. I love this image because it is so joyful and fun to color. I used the gorgeous BoBunny Father Christmas collection, love the vintage style and rich colors.

INVENTORY CHALLENGE No. 61, Monochromatic

Happy Friday Dear Friends,
Before I speak of our challenge, I would like to thank all my team mates for giving such a warm welcome to Nadine, a friend of mine from the Scrapbook ta vie DT team who will be playing with us every Friday. Nadine is from Quebec city, we had the pleasure to meet this fall at our girls day, and every since we have kept a pleasant exchange from e-mail to MSN messenger to which she has introduced me!! Now to our challenge, this week Christina , our team and I have chosen to explore a monochromatic theme. this will be a very long post, full of pictures, because I have done not one, but 2 cards... Yes... twin cards. I never duplicate my projects, they are all unique. But this once, I did. I wanted to check my skills at Copic coloring, since I have mostly used my coloring pencils lately; and I was just certain, I would not be able to color RED satisfactorily, so, I stamped twice, and colored with BLUE. As I was about to finish my Tildas, my son came over to see what I was doing. I was actually pretty happy of my coloring... he said: Mom, your blues are a lot better than your reds.... Hey, what does he know? he never colored with copics!!!!! but he said he was SATISFIED with my shading. I sent him back to his room, LOL. Enough blabla, on to my cards.

Avant de vous parler de notre défi, j'aimerais remercier mes coéquipières qui ont accueilli à bras ouverts ma petite amie Nadine, de notre équipe DT Scrapbook ta vie, pour jouer avec nous chaque vendredi. Nadine est de la belle ville de Québec; nous nous sommes rencontrées à notre journée de fille cet automne, et nous nous jasons régulièrement depuis, elle m,a même fait découvrir MSN!

A notre défi, maintenant, cette semaine Christina, les filles et moi, avons joué avec un thème monochromatique. Attachez votre ceinture, ce sera un long message avec beaucoup de photos. Je n'ai pas une carte, mais bien 2 à vous présenter. Oui, des cartes jumelles, ce qui n'est pas dans mes habitudes, puisque toutes mes cartes sont uniques. Je voulais tester mes habiletés avec les Copics, puisque je les ai délaissés depuis un bout, j'avais un trip de bois! J,avais en tête une carte ROUGE, mais, vous savez comme moi que le rouge en copic est un pigment très difficile à travailler; alors je n'ai pas pris de chance, j,ai imprimé 2 séries d'images, et j'ai colorié en turquoise, juste aus cas. J,étais contente du résultat en rouge, bien que mon fils m'a dit que mes bleus étaient meilleurs que mes rouges... mais il était satisfait de mes ombres !!! Je l'ai retourné à sa chambre, et je vous épargne sa critique de mon coloriage rouge!

I was inspired by the very nice Tim Holtz die Weathered clock, so symbolic, as we are again getting close to another year. So, I had Miss Tilda pointing at time going by, and the other miss Tilda waiting, probably for Santa to show up with her gifts...

Mon point de départ pour les 2 cartes fut la magnifique découpe de tim hotlz, Weathered clock, très symbolique... nous achevons une autre année. Miss Tilda pointe le temps qui passe, pendant que l'autre Miss Tilda attend que le père Noël arrive avec ses cadeaux...

For the red card, I used the beautiful Echo Park Paper collection, Season's greetings (from SCV), along with the lovely glitter paper AC Cardstock. I played with the folds, and used a 17inches long paper, and made 2 folds, at 6 and 12. On the cover, I cut a circle in the middle of the clock, and glued a piece of acetate. I had no time to decorate the inside pannel before taking the picture and delivering my card to SCV, but once in the store, I added some beautiful silver peel-offs, the result was very lovely, but... the peel-offs don't like the glitter paper, they just don't stay on!

Pour la carte rouge, j'ai utilisé les jolis papiers de Echo Park collection, Season's greetings, disponible chez SCrapbook ta vie, accompagnés des cartons brillants de AC Cardstock. Je voulais jouer avec la transparance et les plis dans cette carte, j'ai utilisé un carton de 17 pouces, avec des plis à 6 et 12 pouces. J'ai percé un cercle sur le couvercle de ma carte, équivalent à l'intérieur de mon horloge, et j'y ai placé de l,acétate. Je n'avais pas le temps de décorer le panneau intérieur, hier, avant d'aller la porter chez STV, une fois rendue, j'ai décoré avec des peel off. Petite expérience, les peel-off n'aiment pas le papier glitter!

Papers from Magnolia were used on the turquoise card, along the beautiful glitter silk paper from Core-dinations (from SCV). I used the same recipe as the red card, but I had time to decorate the inside pannel with the magnolia Christmas tree, that I paper-pieced and decorated with lotssssssssss of stickles. the little mirror snowflake is from the dollarstore! Isn't nice?

Pour la version turquoise, j'ai utilisé des papiers de Magnolia ainsique des les cartons brillants de Core-dinations (disponbles aussi chez STV) et la même recette que pour la carte rouge; j'ai pu décorer le panneau intérieur visible par le centre de l'horloge. J,ai pris la magnifique étampe de Magnolia, et j'ai ajouté beaucoup de stickles au papiers. Les petits flocons en miroir viennent de Dolorama.. Ils sont mignons n'est-ce pas?

Here we are beginning the last month of the year... first thing we'll know, Christmas will be at our door! For this 60th challenge, Christina and I, along with our team mates, decided upon a Christmas card theme. It was also time for me to submit my DT projects for Scrapbook ta vie, and because the week just went sooo fast, I will present you the card I created with Hélène's sketch.

Déjà le début de décembre, le dernier mois de l'année... première chose que l'on saura, on se retrouvera le matin de Noël. Justement, afin d'être prêtes, Christina, nos coéquipières et moi nous sommes données le défi d'une carte de Noel. Elle tombait à point, j'ai manqué de temps, et j'ai décidé de jumeler un de mes projets de Dt avec ce défi. Je vous présente la carte réalisée avec le sketch d'Hélène, et vous invite à participer à notre concours en grand nombre.

I feel in love with this Whipper Snapper snow man as soon as I set eyes on it when I visited Scrapbook ta vie just lately. It is stamped on Bristol vellum paper, and colored with prismacolor, and taltine. (gamsol). I used the wonderful papers from BoBunny, Blitzen Collection, also available at the boutique. I added real pine cones in my bouquet, I simply coated them with glossy Mod Pudge, and puncture a little whole in them to insert a needle. Notice the cute red mesh, with which I made the cute bow inside the card. Behind, you can see a glimpse of a very glittery leaf, on which I used distress inks to color, and a few coats of Glaz On, to which I added glitter. Glaz on glues very well and adds a nice litttle vintagy look that I really love.

Dès que j,ai vu cette étampe Whipper Snapper, je n'ai pu résister. J'adore les bonhomme de neige, et celui-ci avec son petit ami oiseau est tout à fait adorable. Il est étampé sur bristol, et coloré aux prismacolor. J,ai utilisé les merverilleux papiers BoBunny, blitzen Collection, qui sont disponible chez Scapbook ta vie. Mon bouquet est composé de cocotte et d'épine de pin cueillis dans le parc longeant la piste près du fleuve où je marche à chaque jour. J,ai ajouté un filet doré et rouge que j'ai déniché à la boutique, faites vite, ils s'envolent rapidement. Enfin, la grosse feuille de houx est encrée à la distress, j'y ai ajouté du Glaz On vintage, et collé des brillants dessus, quel effet. La photo ne rend vraiment pas justice.

Instead of a little pocket, this time I simply used twine to serve as a holder for a gift card.

J'ai innové... des petites cordes soutenues par une petite boucle à laquelle se balance un petit pere Noël au lieu, de mon habituelle petite pochette pour y mettre un certificat cadeau de votre boutique préférée, ou des sous tout simplemement.

I stamped a little reindeer on the writing card, and inked the borders with Vintage photo, distress ink.

Un espace d'écriture orné par un petit renne, dont les bordures sont encrées avec la Distress vintage photo.

On the cute little round sentiment, I used GLAZ ON, that gives a nice transparent vintage finish.

Un gros plan du sentiment, sur lequel j'ai ajouté une couche de Glaz on, transparent et couleur bronze, une note antique en contraste avec les brillants.

Inventory Challenge No. 59, Snowflake

Good morning friends!
to all my south of the border friends, hope you had a beautiful Thanks Giving, enjoyed yourself, and ate lots of turkey and pumpkin pie! For this Black Friday, Christina and I chose a white theme: Snowflakes! we had lots of those in Montreal 2 days ago! Last week, I as challenged to make a bookcard by Claudia, and had no idea how to make this, but got inspired by searching the web and landing on Tina's blog head before heals, and having to translate german to english, cm to inches! but it worked well, you will be the judges of that. Again I worked with the beautiful Banquise papers from Harmonie, used lotsssss of glitter, the way I love them, and decided to create a fairy story for my precious daughter in law, as this snow fairy stamp from Sweet Pea was chosen by her. She collects fairies, and loves the ones with looooooooooong wings. At first I intented to put all images on top of the card, but did not like the result; so instead, I used the 3D effect of the pages to create this Cinderella scene. I was left with nothing for the cover, however! I improvised with snowflakes! buckle your belts, there a lots of pictures.

Bienvenue à notre défi amical du vendredi! mes copines des USA célèbrent aujourd'hui le black friday! le lendemain de leur Tanks Giving. Christina et moi, avons choisi un thème à l'opposé, tout en blanc: des flocons de neige. J,ai donc été inspirée par la petite tempête que nous avons eue il y a 2 jours! et par un autre défi amical de Claudia, cette fois: elle proposait une carte livre. La lune, cette semaine devait porter aux défis! car je m'habitue tranquillement à Windows 7, à google chrome et tout le jargon informatique qu'impose un nouvel ordinateur; pas pire pour une fille de la génération de la IBM Selectric.Revenons à ma carte, j'ai beaucoup aimé le tuto que j'ai trouvé sur le blogue de Tina, bien que j'ai dû taduire de l'allemand et composer avec les mesures en cm. J'ai travaillé encore une fois avec les superbes papiers Banquise de Harmonie, une étampe Sweet Pea, Snow Fairy de Johanne Schemps, et beaucoup beaucoup de stickles. Cette carte contiendra notre cadeau de Noel à la petite amie de mon fils, qui adore et collection les fées. Elle affectionne particulièrement celles avec les longues ailes. Les images imprimées constituaient au départ la couverture de la carte, mais je ne suis pas parvenue à créer quelque chose que j'aimais, la possibilité de jouer avec le 3D dans les pages intérieures du livre m'a inspiré. Tel un conte de fée, comme Cendrillon, la fée des neiges court vers son prince... ou à vous d'imaginer le reste de l'histoire... Il me faillait décorer la couverture du livre maintenant, j'ai donc improviser sur le thème des flocons! à vous de juger si c'est réussi ou non. Attachez vos ceintures, il y a beaucoup de photos!

INVENTORY CHALLENGE NO. 58 - Thanks Giving card.

Good morning friends,
Today for our Inventory Challenge, we have Thanks Giving as our theme; we Canadian celebrate Thanks Giving in October, and we usually don't send any cards... Sooo under the circumstances, I decided to cheat a little bit... and make a thank your card. My problem remained, being taken with some computer problems, and some blog problems, I was all in my head... Thank your Claudia, for always posting some eye candy and total inspirational projects. This week, she had made a more decorated version of her Gate Fold card. That put me on the track, and was complicated enough to tuned my mojo on thinking about only one thing at the time! cause I complicated things quite a lot!

Aujourd'hui, le thème de notre défi est ThanksGiving. Mes copines américaines célèbrent en grand cette journée, qui est déjà derrière nous, canadiens. Alors, dans les circonstances, j'ai triché un peu: j'ai réalisé une carte de remerciements. Cependant, j'étais en panne d'inspiration... toute dans ma tête que j'étais! avec un problème d'ordinateur, un difficulté avec blogger. Je remercie donc Claudia queje visite quotidennement, pour partager avec nous ses petites merveilles qui m'inspirent à tout coup. Cette semaine, elle a réalisé encore une fois sa fameuse gate fold card dans une version plus décorée. Je l'ai choisie parce qu'étant un peu compliquée, elle allait réussir à tourner à OFF le piton de mes pensées qui vagabondaient à l'extrême.

Le tour de l'image est décoré avec la magnifique étampe de Stampleglede, Vintage Garden, embossée avec dela pourdre claire, et encrée à la Distress dans les couleurs suivantes: Tea Dye, Tattered Rose et Shabby shutters.

Opening the first layer reveals Tilda with ribbon, that I "traficated" by adding a cut oval with the sentiment. I distressed the edge of the parchment writing paper, with the Tim Holtz distressing tool, added some inks, and embossed to give the edges some texture. I aslo included a little pocket to insert a gift card, or a personal wish.

En ouvrant le premier pli, on découvre Tilda with ribbon, que j'ai un peu altérée... J,ai collé sur le ruban un oval portant le sentiment, j'ai découpé autour de ses mains, et j'ai glissé la pièce. Le sentiment est imprimé sur un papier parchemin, que jai aussi vieilli, embossé et encré. de l'autre côté, une petite pochette pour y glisser un cadeau.

Under the last layers, I made sure to place a large enough space to write, thought this sentiment was very appropriate for any day in the year. I used the same distressing technique around the parchment paper, and cut this nice vine with a spellbinder.

En ouvrant les derniers plis, on découvre l'espace d'écriture avec un sentiment tellement joli - dommage qu'il ne soit pas en français! J'ai décoré cette carte d'écriture avecla même technique. La jolie vigne décorative est coupé avec un spellbinder.

dont let yourself be impressed by the style of the card, It is more complicated to take a picture of all the folds than making it! however, if it is fun to work with coordinated papers like I did, one can aso use losts of leftovers! Same as using turkey leftovers!!! Improvise...

Ne vous laissez pas impressionner par ce style de carte, qui en soi est vraiment simple à réaliser. C'est la déco qui est un peu longue! Mais très pratique, si je me suis servi d'une collection de papiers coordonnés, On pourrait très bien improviser et utiliser des restes, que nous avons toutes en grande quantité. C'est comme la dinde... on improvise et on crée des recettes avec ce qui nous reste!

Inventory Challenge No. 57, Something with wings

Good morning Friends.

another week has gone by, taking us to our Friday challenge. Today, Christina, our team and I have a lovely theme, something with wings. I have been longing to color Tilda with a little gift since I received her. I love her beautiful braids and a cute angel face. I used the lovely Banquise collection papers,from Harmonie, a local craft company, that I fell in love with on my last visit to Scrapbook ta vie. I was offered this magnificent hand made snow flake by a dear friend last year for Christmas; I had so much hesitation to alter it, but the white thead was too bold for the greish tone of the paper. So, I died it a little bit, and sprayed it with lotsssss of Glimmer mist. I used a gread deal of stickles for make believe there were frost on the flowers. I colored Tilda with my copics, since I will be writing a little column on Copics, for Scrapbook ta vie. Look closely at Tilda's wings, I used a product called Goosebumps on them. It is made by Tsukineko, and resembles Glossy Accent, but in a spray, it is also shimmery. Here, I did not spray, I used the product with a brush. It is very discreet, but very cute.

Une autre semaine qui a filé et qui nous amène à notre défi amical. Nous avions pour thème "quelque chose avec des ailes", et j'ai choisie Tilda, avec un petit paquet. Ce qu,elle est mignonne avec ses longues tresses. Elle est étampée avec Memento, sur X-press blending card, et est coloriée aux Copics. Lors de ma dernière visite chez Scrapbook ta vie, je suis tombé en amour avec ces papiers d'une compagnie de chez nous: Banquise de Harmonie, les couleurs et les motifis sont tout simplement magnifiques. Derrière Tilda, j'ai placé un flocon de neige brodé; il m'a été offert l'an dernier par une amie très chère. Elle l'a fait elle-même. J,ai beaucoup hésité à le teindre, mais le blanc pur était trop fort pour les gris du papiers, alors je lui ai mis un soupçon de Dusty concord. Remarquez les ailes brillantes de Tilda, c'est le résultat d'un produit appelé Goosebumps, fabriqué par Tsukineko. Ça ressemble un peu à du glossy accent, mais en spray, et c'est brillant! Cependant, je l'ai étendu avec un pinceau pour les ailes, ça sèche très rapidement: c'est aussi une trouvaille de chez Scapbook ta vie.

I am sorry for the poor qualty of the pictures. It was dark when I finished and I was not ableto get daylight. These shades of lavender and violet are so hard to capture... I am not a very good photographer.

This week, for our challenge, Christina and I thought that, once in a while, we all need a get well card, and decided it would be our theme! Although Tilda always inspires me, I must say I fell in love with Mo Manning,s nurse, the first time I saw it on Pat Frank's blog. Upon making the link to her blog, I noticed she also had dressed her little nurse in pink, I did so, because the occasion to make a pink card during October, emphasizing Breast Cancer month, never came ... Better late, than never I told myself. Soooo, here is my cutie little nurse, all dressed in pink, and surrounded by pink! Once again,I used Lost and Found, Blush Collection, that I sooooo love. It is available at Scrapbook ta vie. My image was stamped on Bristol, and colored with Prismacolors and Taltine.

Cette semaine, Christina et moi avions choisi une carte de prompt rétablissement pour notre défi. Puisque l'on a toujours besoin de ce genre de carte, il est bon d'en avoir une en réserve. J'ai tout de suite adoré cette image d'infirmière de Mo Manning, lorsque je l'ai vue pour la première fois sur le blogue de Pat Frank.C'est en cherchant le lien, que je me suis rendue compte que je l'avais aussi habillée en rose, et ce pour souligner le mois du cancer du sein, qui vient de se terminer. J,ai créé une carte de remerciements, en utilisant une image adorable de MoManning, intitulée Bunches, étampée sur Bristol et coloriée avec Prismacolors (vous trouverez la liste ci-dessous). vous ai-je déjà dit que j'achetais toujours mes fleurs blanches ou ivoires? Je vous ai fait un gros plan du bouquet, afin d'admirer les lis et les tulipes, qui sont teints à l'encre, précisément la bonne couleur! J,ai aussi réalisé mes petites feuilles en perles et les gerbes. J'espère qu'elle vous inpirera! et je vous invite à participer en grand nombre, ICI.

I did not think I would post so rapidly! Here is my 2nd dT project for Scrapbook ta vie, the color theme. I created a thank you card, using Mo Manning's wonderful Bunches image, stamped on bristol, and colored with prismacolor. Did I ever told you I buy most of my flowers white or Ivory? Simply because I love coloring them, precisely the shade I need, such as the lily and the tulips on my card. I also made my little beaded leaves, and the sprays. Hope it will inspire you.

Nous voici en novembre déjà... Je viens vous présenter mon premier projet DT pour Scrapbook ta vie! Je disais la semaine dernière être dans une phase BOIS, alors tous mes coloriages sont aux Prismacolor. Encore une fois, j'ai dressé la liste de toutes les couleurs utilisées, pour que vous puissiez vous en inspirer; je réalise cependant que la numérotation ainsique le nom des couleurs a changé. Il est possible de voir un nuancier en ligne et de vous approcher le plus de la couleur mentionnée. November already... I have something to cheer you up this morning! My first DT project for Scrapbook ta vie. I am in a wood "phase" right now, and all my colorings are with Prismacolor. I have listed the colors I used below, although I noticed that the numbers and the name of the colors as changed. It is possible to find on line a color chart of my set, and match them with the new sets.

INVENTORY CHALLENGE No. 55 - Halloween card.

Hello Dear Friends,

This will be quite a short post! I hope my pictures will talk for me, as I my "guests" have arrived, it is guetting late as I am starting to write, and I still have to walk them! It is already the last Friday of October, we are guetting ready for Trick or Treat night! Christina and I chose Halloween for our theme this week, and I decided to create a spooky scene for Tilda and Edwin. I have used a cute haunted house from Stamp Fairy, that I just loved coloring! Notice the little shadows in the windows... Scrary, hey ??? I have stamped Tilda and Edwin on Bristol paper, and colored them in Prismacolor with Taltine. I took to take a sideway picture to show all the 3D effects! So much fun! I used up a whole sheet of 3D-dots!!!! The pumpkin and scary witch face are buttons that I glued on head-stickpins, the cute ribbon is from the dollar store. The papers are from Spookville from WeRMemory Keepers. I tore the grey and black paper, and added some distress embossing powed to create the spooky effect. I hope you will enjoy Halloween, it is such a fun night!

Ce sera un message assez court! J'espère que mes photos parleront pour moi! Mes pensionnaires (les chiens) sont arrivés, il se fait tard, et je dois aller les faire marcher. C'est déjà le dernier vendredi du mois d'octobre, et nous nous préparons à l'Halloween. Christina et moi avons choisi ce thème pour notre défi cette semaine. J'ai fait une scène avec une jolie maison hantée de STamp fairy, que j'ai adoré coloriée. Remarquez les petites ombres dans les fenêtres... Booooooooo! J'ai étampé Tilda et Ewin sur BRistol, et ils sont coloriés aux Prismacolor. J'ai tenté de photographier la carte de côté pour avoir une meilleure idée de l,effet 3D, mais... je ne suis pas une excellente photographe! Je peux cependant dire que j'ai utilisé une carte de petits supports en mousse au grand complet! La citrouille et le visage de la sorcière sont des boutons que j'ai collés sur une épingle à chapeau. Les papiers sont de WeRMemory Keepers, collection Spookville. Pour créer le terrain devant la maison,j'ai déchiré du papier noir et gris, que j'ai embossé avec la poudre distress. J'espère que ma scène d'Halloween vous plaira et vous inspirera.

This month seems to be blown with the wind... I see the end of it coming toooo fast. Today, is the special day for our friend Cathy-Lynn, who is celebrating her birthday: HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY CATHY! Just for the fun of sharing, I have no grand child, but I will be babysitting my DIL's dogs next week as they will go on vacation! A Boston Terrier, Willie, and a Pug, Zoro! That means they will keep me in shape, they love walking! Let's get back to our challenge, here, for this 54th Edition, Christina and I suggested TAG... I just had to come back with this wonderful diagonal double pocket card that dear Claudia made a tutorial on SCS. I love this card, it leaves me with so much possibilities.

Le mois d'octobre semble être balayé par les coups de vents... on en voit la fin déjà! C'est une journée bien spéciale pour mon amie Cathy Lynn, elle célèbre son anniversaire! DAns un autre ordre d'idées, je n'ai pas de petits enfants, mais la semaine prochaine je garderai les 2 chiens de ma belle-fille, durant leurs vancances. Un Boston Terrier du nom de Willie et un Pog appelé Zoro. J,aime ces 2 chiens beaucoup, et ils me feront renouer avec ma résolution d'aller marcher qui a un peu été tassée par les priorités! Revenons à nos moutons et notre défi, cette semaine nous "étiquetons" nos cartes! Je n'attendais quecette occasion pour refaire une carte à pochettes doubles en diagonale, un tutoriel de ma belle Claudia, que vous pouvez retrouver sur SCS.

Last week, I attended my first Crop as DT, and the subject was an enchanting Fall. The location was a wonderful sugar camp in St-Joseph du Lac, surrounded by orchards. We were lucky to see the sun and a wonderful rainbow. I had fun giving a small presentation on how to make a slider card; that did not leave me much time to create, so I decided to color images that this beautiful site inspired me. I could not resist driving down the little road and picking a few MacIntosh apples. Delicious. I chose Apple Edwin from the Little Yummy 2009 collection and Apple Tilda from the 2010Autumn collection, that I stamped on bristol paper and colored with Prismacolor and Taltine.

La semaine dernière, j'ai participé à ma première journée de fille en tant que DT pour Scrapbook ta vie, qui avait pour thème un automne enchanteur. Le site à St-Joseph du Lac était effectivement enchanteur, une cabane à sucre entourée de magnifiques vergers. Nous avons été chanceuses, il y a eu un peu de soleil et un arc-en-ciel fantastique. Je me suis beaucoup amusée, et j'ai donné un mini atelier, comment réaliser une carte à glissière. Je n'ai pu résister à prendre mon auto, et cueillir quelques délicieuses MacIntosh. C'est donc ce qui a inspiré ma carte et m'a fait choisir Apple Tilda de la collection d'automne de 2010, Apple EDwin de A little yummy for your tummy 2009, que j'ai étampé sur Bristol, et coloriés avec Prismacolor et Taltine.

I inserted 2 tags in the pockets... The first one is the image of Edwin with a belly ache, certainly because he could not resist all those delicious apples Tilda has picked. On the second tag, I placed the sentiment over another basket of apple. I put a bit of glossy accent on the apples to give them a bit of volume and gloss.

À l'intérieu des 2 pochettes, se trouvent 2 signets, l'un décoré avec l'image d'EDwin, qui a mal au ventre après avoir mangé trop de pommes, il ne pouvait certainement pas résister à Tilda... Sur le second signet, j,ai placé un sentiment au dessus d'un autre panier de pomme. Il y a une couche de glossy accent pour donner du volume et du reluisant aux pommes.

I used all scraps of paper for the inside. To leave lots of space for writing, I used the tag again, and printed in brown the apple basket.

J,ai utilisés toutes mes chutes de papier pour l'intérieur. En rappel, un signet glissé dans un triagle embossé à la poudre Distress pour donner un effet vieillot, permet d'écrire nos voeux.

INVENTORY CHALLENGE No. 53 - EMBOSSING

Days are shorter, and chilly! we had Indian summer last weekend, so I guess we are now on our way for the white stuff... This week, Christina, our teamates and I challenged ourselves to EMBOSSING! I love this technique and I am a good user of powders!!!!!!!

Les journées raccoursissent, et sont de plus en plus fraîches! Nous avons connu l'été des indiens la semaine dernière, alors nous sommes en route pour la poudre blanche!!! Cette semaine, Christina, nos compagnes et moi-même nous sommes mise au défi d'utiliser l'embossage. J'adore cette technique, et je suis une grande consommatrice de poudre!!!!!!

So, I decided embossed elements in my scene and use the contrast between the glossy finish of powders and the warm and waxy look of Prismacolors. I uses a retired Halloween paper from Creative Memories, and added versamark, on the spooky tree and the moon. I used the Spooky tree from Magnolia (I confess inverting the image). Across my scene, I colored the cute fence with pumpkins (digi from Make it crafty), and embossed the fence with Distess powders to give an old finish. I so wished I had purchased the black sooth powder for the tree... I colored Scarecrow Tilda (that I really did not like when she got out), but I have to say I just loved coloring her, and creating this Halloween scene for her, as if she is in disguise!!!!!! I would generously treat this cutie on Halloween night! To my flower cluster, I added a little beaded spray, a new style I just tried... it will have to be improved a bit somewhat, but it brings a cute detail. Tell me what you think...

J'ai donc décidé d'embosser les éléments de ma scène d'halloween, et d'utiliser le conraste entre le fini luisant de cette technique et la chaleur des Prismacolor. J,ai joué avec des papiers de Creative Memories, retirés depuis un bout, j'ai enduit l'arre et la lune de versamark, puis, j'ai ajouté la poudre noire, et la poudre holographique. Tilda s'est déguisée en épouvantail! et je crois bien qu'elle est le plus joli de tous les épouventails. J,ai ajouté l'arbre Spooky au décor, et oui, l'image est inversée volontairement! La clôture et les citrouilles qui décorent ma scène sont une image digitale, imprimée sur bristol, et coloriée avec les prisma, j'ai ajouté sur les planches de la clôture cettemerveilleuse poudre Distress, qui a l'effet granuleux... Je regrette tellement de ne pas avoir acheté la noire lors de ma dernière visite chez Scrapbook ta vie. J'ai aussi fabriqué une petite gerbe en perles tubulaires, qui fera partie d'un petit tutoriel... à suivre après notre journée de filles de samedi! Car il me faut améliorer un peu la technique, celui-ci étant mon prototype. Dites moi ce que vous en pensez..

The beginning of a long weekend for us in Canada, as Monday is Thanksgiving, which is starting beautifully under the sun! Today, Christina, Rene and I celebrate one year of Inventory Challenge. For this 52nd edition, we decided to do something a little special, express in a card what the inventory challenge means for us, or has brought you. It was very easy for me to say it in only one word: FRIENDSHIP. Le début d'un long weekend pour nous canadiens, sous un soleil magnifique! Aujourd'hui, Christina, Rene et moi célébrons une année de défis amicaux. Pour cette 52e édition, nous avons un thème spécial: que vous apporte la participation à ce défi? Pour ma part, la réponse se résume en un seul mot: AMITIÉ. J'ai découvert la beauté, la grandeur, la valeur de l'amitié, une différente forme d'amitié puisqu'elle se développe et s'entretien par le biais du web, mais non moins véritable, profonde et fantastique. Une affaire de fille!

Let me present you my card now, I have chose this sweet image from Lily of the Valley, called Little Girl's tea time, that was offered to me by Sandy. I colored it with Copics, highlited with Prismacolors. I selected the wonderful papers from MME, Sunshine collection from Lost & found. As I love the sun, and the Sunshine is my nickname for a very truly special friend! And crafting is purely a girl's thing, this also something I wanted to express through this image, the preciousness of girl stuff, meaning a moment with a friend alone, belonging just to us. I hope my card will give you inspiration and will make you remember friends in your life, how precious and how special, not to say IMPORTANT taking care of a relationship is, but oh! so rewarding, and comforting.

Laissez-moi maintenant, vous présenter ma carte. J,ai choisi une image empreinte de tendresse et de douceur de Lily of the Valley, appelée Little Girl's tea time., qui m'a été offerte par Sandy. Je l'ai coloriée avec les Copics, et accentuée avecles Prismacolor. Pour la mettre en valeur, les jolis papiers de MME, de la collection Lost & Found, Sunshine, étaient tout à fait appropriés. Sunshine, J'adore le thé et le soleil, et ces papiers sont d'une douceur et d'une luminosité parfaite pour cette adorable image. Et, Sunshine, c'est le surnom que ma bonne amie me donne! L'artisanat, c'est une affaire de filles, c'est aussi ce que je voulais exprimer par cette image, tout le côté précieux de moments entre filles.J,espère que ma carte vous inspirera, et je vous invite à prendre un moment, et à réfléchir à quel point les amitiés sont précieuses dans nos vies, et à quel point il est important de les entretenir, d'en prendre soin.

Je viens ce matin vous présente mon projet couleurs, DT Scrapbook ta vie. Le processus de création de cette carte fut long, et pénible! J'ai bien eu la preuve que je n'avais rien d'une sorcière, ni d'une bonne fée marraine!Je n'avais pas envie de créer une carte d'Halloween, alors j'ai décidé de jouer de la baguette magique et de transformer la citrouille en une belle fée. ça ne s'est pas fait en un jet de poudre de perlinpinpin... Il arrive parfois qu'on choisisse papiers, couleurs accessoires, image que tout semble fait pour s'unir et former une belle harmonie, et à la fin... il y a quelque chose qui cloche. Dans mon cas, c'était la couleur de cheveux de Miranda, et les petites feuilles dans ses cheveux, que j'avais colorié d'un vert olive... J'ai tout recommancé et voilà, je vous présente Miranda, de Elaine Cox, en fée de l'automne.

I said I would be back with my second DT project, for Scrapbook ta vie. This card took me forever to put together! The process was long, and difficult! When I received the color theme, I decided I did not want to create a Halloween card, I had the bright idea of transforming the pumpkin in a beautiful fairy. I know now I am neither a witch, nor a fairy godmother! It took me more than a sprinkle of magic powder, let me assure you... I had chosen stamp, paper, colors, accessories, and upon finishing to color, I noticed that the leaves in MIranda's hair did not give such a lovely look. I stamped her again, and colored her differently. May I present you Miranda, from Elaine Cox, in Fall fairy..

Pour donner un effet vitrail à la découpe, je l'ai embossée, avec de la poudre noire., en 3 couches.Elle est collée sur un papier velin.
To give a stain glass effect to my die cut, I embossed it with 3 coats of black power, and glued it on a velum paper.

J'ai utilisé le poinçon Martha Stewart, Fall, pour décorer ce côté de la carte.

I used MS punch, Fall, to decorate the inside.

J,ai coupé cette forme avec ma Cricut, et j'ai ajouté un cercle blanc pour l'écriture, étampé avec une feuille.
I cut this shape with my Cricut, and added all the little leaves around, the white circle in the inside, is decorated with a leaf stamp.

Scrapbook ta vie - Défi sketch Octobre

Bon Samedi,

Nous voilà déjà rendus en Octobre, et c'est la journée mondiale de la carte, tout à fait appropriée pour vous présenter mon projet sketch DT Scrapbook ta vie. Je rêvais depuis un bout de colorier Tilda in falling leaves, et dans mon kit d'octobre, j'ai choisi les merveilleux papiers Forever fall de BoBunny. J'adore la combinaison du orange avec ces teintes de bleu vert. Je n'avais pas la teinte de ruban que je souhaitais, j'ai donc teint un ruban bleu poudre avec l'encre SU Indigo des îles, le résultat est splendide. J'ai fait de même avec les fleurs postionnées de chaque côté du tournesol. La petite libellule est une breloque de teinte crème, que j'ai coloriée avec les copics.

I promised I would come back soon; the weather was terrible today, so I spent a lot of time coloring. It is World Cardmaking Day, so I celebrated my way! Let me present you my Scrapbook ta vie DT sketch project. I had this Tilda in mind for quite a while, and was waiting for the perfect sketch, the perfect papers for her. In my October kit, I was offered this Forever Fall Colletion by BoBunny, and immediately associated them with my Tilda. I love this orange and blue green combination. I died a baby blue ribbon with SU Island Indigo, because I did not have the exact shade, it turned out beautiful. Did the same with the pale blue flowers besides the sunflower. The cream little dragonfly to match with Copics.

J,ai utilisé le poinçon automne de Martha Stewart pour l'intérieur. L'idée de la petite carte come espace d'écriture est une idée de Pat Frank. J'ai aussi décoré le tour avec une étampe feuille, encrée avec des marqueurs SU.

to decorate the inside, I used the Fall Punch from Martha Stewart. The crisscross envelope with a little card to write on, comes from Pat Frank, it is decorated with a leaf stamp, inked with SU markers.

INVENTORY CHALLENGE No. 51 - POLKA DOT

Happy Friday my Friends,

The end of another week, the end of another month, and the last but not the least, almost one year of Inventory Challenges, yes, today marks our 51st challenge, for which Christina and I have suggested a Polka dot theme! I love polka dots! Before going on to my card, I have a cute little story for you. I was out of large black ribbon, so,went to the fabric store close by. They offer a club card and mine was expired, so the lady offered to renew it; I accepted, and she explained they now had 2 plans, and preferred price for "seniors"(60+), so, without even asking my age, she charged me the preferred rate. Upon walking to my car, I realized, that I just slipped into this "senior" category two years before my time!!! I told the story to my husband; he said don't complain you saved. When I told my son, he replied, well... you could be a grand-ma!!!!!!!! OK... I never reacted to my age before. It's the first time, that I freak out because I am getting closer to changing age bracket; well , lets face it, I have 2 years to come to peace with the fact that I seemI look my age; but, I consider it a great advantage to shop for ribbon while being close to 60....

La fin d'une autre semaine, d'un autre mois et non le moindre, d'une année de Défis ! Bien oui, aujourd'hui est notre 51e défi, pour lequel Christina et moi vous proposons un thème "à petits pois"! J,adore les tissus à petits pois, les papiers aussi! Avant de passer à ma carte, j'ai une petite page de vie à vous raconter! Je manquais de ruban noir, alors je me suis rendue au magasin de tissus de mon quartier. Au moment de faire couper me rubans, je présente ma carte de membre, qui est expirée. La vendeuse m'explique que maitenant il existe 2 plans, un préférentiel pour les "couturières sénior (60+)", pour lequel elle me fait la facture, sans rien me demander... en marchant à ma voiture, j'ai tout à coup réalisé que je venais de passer dans cette catégorie, 2 ans avant mon temps! J'ai raconté l'histoire à mon mari, qui m'a répondu de ne pas me plaindre, j'avais eu un bon rabais... Mon fils, lui a répondu, ben quoi, tu pourrais être grand-mère. Je n'ai jamais réagi lorsque je changeais de dizaine, plus je m'approche du 60, je sens que je ne suis pas tout à fait prête! Enfin, il y a un avantage, mon ruban me coûte meilleur marché! et il me reste 2 ans pour me faire à l,idée, même si il semble que je fais mon âge...il y a quand même cet avantage, le ruban me coûte moins cher!

She seems to be saying I love you this much! my pink Copics and the wonderful paper from My Minds Eyes, Lost & Found collection, Blush, available at Scrapbook ta vie. I found the wonderful sketch from Diva by Design Challenge blog. And my card practically made itself! OH! sounds magic, but, I'll be back at the beginning of October with quite another story... For those who asked me, I now take note of all my colors, they are indicated below. Unfortunately I have the old Prismacolor series, and believe that the number are now different, even the colors, sorry about that.

Pour celles qui m'en ont fait la demande, j'ai pris note de mes couleurs de Copics, elles sont listées plus bas; en ce qui concerne les Prismacolor, j'ai une boîte de l'ancienne collection, les numéros sont maintenant différents, ainsi que les couleurs. Je suis désolée.

I used a beautiful Heart Circles by spelbinder and cut a glittery shape on which I glued a little bow and a heart charm. It is with the little hearts from this die cut that I made the heart garland that cutie is holding on top of my card.

C'est avec le spellbinder, Heart Circles, que j'ai coupé cette forme en carton brilant. J,ai récupéré les petits coeurs pour faire la guirlande tressée que tient la petite fille sur le dessus de ma carte.

Good morning dear friends, it is Friday, Christina, our wonderful team and I welcome you to 50th inventory challenge. Our theme today is a Bookmark. I used Tilda with flower pot, that I stamped on Cryogen white, and colored with Copics. I shaded with Prismacolor. I decorated my image with this new MarthaS. puch, isn't it lovely? The word "daydream" is a rub-on I had. The reverse side is decorated with the same MarthaS punch and a lace one. I have used the beautiful Basic Grey paper, Out of print collection. I used chipboard flowers, painted with acryclic paint and embossed with clear embossing power to decorate the little ribbon. I used a laminator to seal my bookmark, however, I did not realized that I had so many layers, it is a bit too thick. I'll know next time!

INVENTORY CHALLENGE No. 49 - Happy Birthday

Happy day to you dear friends,

It is the beginning of a very special weekend. My hubby is 61 today! and tomorrow, we will be celebrating 34 years together. It is also Rene's daughter's, birthday today! Happy Birthday GRACE! No surprise that our Inventory challenge theme today is BIRTHDAY . I have decided to make a masculine card. I honestly don't know why... but it is Captain Edwin who presented himself to my mind when I was searching for an inspiration. So, Captain Edwin it is. Since I loved the movie Pirates of the Caribbean, I decided to inspire myself with this special "vintage" style.I used digi stamps from Make it Crafty and my papers are from BoBunny, Barefoot and Bliss collection. The lovely jute is a gift from my dear friend Christina. My images are all colored with Prismacolor and solvent, on Bristol paper. I have stamped a little shell on a Tim Holtz acrylic charm with Stazon, and colored it with Copics; The map is embossed with Distress Vintage photo powder, I do love the burned look of that powder. Edwin, the map and the sea up front, are all in 3D. Well this is it for me.

C'est le début d'une fin de semaine de célébrations chez nous, Pierre, mon mari, a 61 ans aujourd'hui! et demain ce sera notre 34e anniversaire de mariage. Que le temps a passé vite! Ce n'est pas un hasar, que le thème de notre défi soit "Bonne fête", car en plus de Pierre, la fille de Rene, Grace a 6 ans aujourd'hui. J'ai donc décidé de créer une carte masculine. C'est Capitaine Edwin qui s'est présenté à moi, alors que je me demandais dans quelle direction mon inspiration allait se diriger... Comme j'ai un faible pour la série de films le Pirate des Caraïbes, j'ai voulu donner un style ancien, à ma mise en scène. Je me suis servie des étampes digitales de Make it Crafty, et mes papiers sont de BoBunny, collction Barefoot and Bliss. Le joli ruban de jute est un cadea de ma chère Christina. Toutes mes images sont coloriées avec du Prismacolor, sur papier Bristol; l'embossage est fait avec la poudre Distress Vintage Paper, j'adore le look brûlé et vieillot, parfait pour le parchemin. J,ai utilisé une petite breloque de Tim Holtz, coloriée avec du Copic, sur laquelle j'ai étampé un coquillage avec du STazon. Edwin, le parchemin et la vague en avant plan, sont tous en 3D. Voilà, c'est tout pour aujourd'hui.

Bon mercredi,

Aujourd'hui, je vous propose une carte sous le thème de la romance. Un ami de mon fils, ayant vu mes cartes, m'a passé une commande spéciale pour le mariage de sa cousine. Ses préférences, le rose, le brillant et la romance! Il a ajouté, laisse-toi aller, je veux quelquechose hors de l'ordinaire! Mon inspiration m'a tout de suite conduit vers cette adorable image de Tilda et Edwin. Le rose et le brillant s'imposant, j'ai voulu créer un contraste en choisissant la chaleur du Prismacolor comme médium. J,ai un peu triché sur la robe en y aposant une couche de Smooch. Le papier à brillant de la collection Glitter Silk est disponible chez Scrapbook ta vie. Voilà...

Today, I am posting a romantic card, that a friend of my son asked me to create for his cousin's wedding. He had seen my cards, and asked specifically for something in pink, with glitters and very very romantic. He also added: please let yourself loooooose and create something out of the ordinary! Whether I have succeeded or not, remains to be told; however, I am quite happy with the result. My inspiration lead me directly to this adorable Tilda and Edwin stamp; since I had to "deal" with pink and glitter, I decided to create a contrast by using the warmth pigment of Prismacolor as my coloring medium. I cheated a bit, and added Smooch to Tilda's dress. The wonderful glittery paper is available at Scrapbook ta vie, and comes from the Glitter Silk Collection. Well, on to my card!

Je n'avais pas de petites fleurs pour accompager mon gardenia... Alors je les ai faites à partir de pétales simples en papier Mulberry, puis je les ai encrées.

I had no "perfect" flower to put beside my big gardenia, so I created these 2 little flowers with mulberry petals and inked them.

Derrière l'image se glisse une étiquette avec un sentiment tout à fait romantique.
Behind the image, I inserted a nice tag, with a romantic sentiment.

Pour présenter le tout convenablement, j'ai créé cette petite boîte à partir d'un patron. J'ai embossée une image pour orner le tout.

I made alittle box from a template, that I decorated with a stamped & embossed image.

à l'endos, j'ai coupé un coeur avec un poinçon, je l'ai percé et j'y ai placé un oeillet, pour attacher un ruban permettant de fermer l'enveloppe .

To close the box with a cute ribbon, I punched a heart, and placed a eyelet to insert a ribbon, and make a lovely bow on top of the box!

INVENTORY CHALLENGE No. 48 DISTRESS IT ALL!!!

Happy Friday, dear blogger friends,

TGIF, for me today! It was tomato canning week! So, not very much time to craft. Along with Christina and our lovely team, I welcome you to our friendly challenge! Our theme this week is Distressing. I chose this beautiful image from a SU hostess set called Vive la nature. I stamped it with Walnut Stain ink and embossed it on watercolor paper. Then, it was colored with distress inks. I also distressed the border of my image with the Zuter Distress it all, inked and embossed the edges also with Walnut stain, and the Vintage photo embossing powder. The lovely papers, are from Webster Pages, Nature's story book, I am always sad to layer those papers, they are sooo beautiful! I have used KarmaScap's sketch of the week.

Enfin........ c'est la fin d'une dure semaine nous avons terminé de mettre notre sauce tomate en conserve, et je suis bien contente! Christina, notre équipe et moi vous accueillons pour notre petit défi amical, cettesemaine notre thème est: Distress! J'ai choisi une belle image d'un jeu de SU, Vive la nature, que j'ai étampé et embossé avec la Distress Walnut Stain, sur un papier aquarelle; le dessin est coloré aussi avec la Distress. J,ai vieilli les bordures de l'image avecle Zuter Distress it all, puis j'ai encré et embossé encore avec l'encre Walnut Stain, et la poudre Vintage photo. Les jolis papiers sont de Webster Pages, nature's Storybook. Il me fait toujours de la peine de superposer ces papiers, on en cache toujours une partie. Je me suis servie du sketch de KarmaScrap.

DT Scrapbook ta vie - Le sketch de Septembre d'Hélène

Bonjour chères amies,

Je viens vous présenter aujourd'hui ma réalisation avec le sketch d'Hélène pour le mois de septembre. L'automne est ma saison préférée, j'aime ses couleurs, l'air frais du matin, elle me rappelle aussi l'odeur des livres neufs et des cahiers. de la nouvelle boîte de Crayola! Pour célébrer cette magnifique saison, c'est à Tilda que j'ai demandé de m'accompagner. J,ai choisi Witch Tilda, qui pourrait aussi être déguisée en pélerin, heureuse de montrer sa récolte. J,ai colorié Tilda et ses citrouilles au Copics; pour compléter ce décor enchanteur, j'ai embossé une feuille d'aluminium avec un plioir, coloriée avec des encres Rangers à l'alcool. Ces papiers de la collection Basic Grey, Stitched, sont de couleurs très vives, et je les ai vieillis avec l'encre distress Pumice Stone. Voici ma carte.

Today, I have an Halloween card to show you as my DT participation at Scrapbook ta vie, with Hélène's sketch for September. Fall is my favourite season, I love its colors, fresh mornings! To celebrate this wonderful season, I chose Witch Tilda, who could also be a pilgrim! I colored Tilda and the pumpkins with Copics, to complete my scene, I embossed an aluminium sheet with a cuttlebug folder, that I colored with Ranger alcohol inks. The lovely papers from Stitched collection, of Basic Grey, are usually in bright colors, I gave them a Distress ink treatment, so the colors would loose their brightness and get a old look. Well, here is my card.

Chistina, our talented teammates and I are very happy to welcome you to our 47th Challenge. Already, almost a year since Christina and I challenged ourselves for the first time ! I particularily love this week's theme: Among my favourite things... I sincerely tried to put most of the little things in life that make me very happy! For instance, my ponytail, ladybugs, butterflies, swing, bows & ribbons, cars, trees and flowers, the color red, if you look closely, you will find them all !

Nous avons le plaisir de vous accueillir à notre 47e défi. Depuis presqu'un an maintenant, que Christina et moi, nous nous lançons des défis chaque semaine! J'aime particulierement le thème de cette semaine: Parmi les choses que j'aime... J'ai bien essayé d'en mettre le plus dans ma carte, de ces petites choses qui me font bien plaisir dans la vie: ma queue de cheval, les coccinelles, les papillons, les boucles et les rubans, les balançoires, les voitures rouges, les arbres, les fleurs, la couleur rouge, si vous regardez attentivement, vous allez les repérer!

I stamped my images on Bristol paper, and colored with Prismacolor and Taltine. I used the mask technique to overlay the tree and the car. The wonderful paper are from Basic Grey, OUt of Print collection (available from Scapbook ta vie).

Christina, our talented team mates and I welcome you to our 46th Inventory challenge. This week our theme is TREES; and we are happy to dedicate our work to our dearest Jacque, because trees are strong, and seem to weather a lot of adversity, says Christina, I would add with serenity and courage. Jacque went through her pink journey, like a three through storms and rainbows, stood there strong, and courageous. I thereby dedicate my card to you Jacque, for your inspiration, your sharing, your kindness, your courage, you are a beautiful soul, and I consider myself very privileged to know you, to visit you.

Christina, nos talentueuses coéquipières et moi vous accueillons pour notre 46e défi. Cette semaine, notre thème est: ARBRE, et nous sommes heureuses de dédier notre travail à Jacque, parce que les arbres traversent vents et marées en toute sérénité et avec beaucoup de courage, comme Jacque, qui a traversé l'éprouvante route du cancer. Jacque, je te dédie bien humblement cette carte, pour ton inspiration, ton partage, ta tendresse et ta générosité, ton courage, tu es une belle âme, et je suis prévilégiée de te connaître, et de te visiter. Namaste, comme le disent les yogi.

My card was decided ever since I saw Yoga Tilda in Tree posture. For those closer to me, it will not come to a surprise! I practiced Yoga many years, it is one of the discipline I loved most. It changed my way of looking at life, at myself and at others. I think it made me a better human being. Although I don't have a regular asana practice anymore, Yoga philosophy is very present in my life. The Asana (posture) Tilda is in, is the Tree pose, or Vrksasana, was my favourite, as it always represented a balance challenge for me, especially with eyes closed!!!! Isn't Tilda the most adorable yogi on earth? I think so, and. wish you a very beautiful day, as we say in yoga: Namaste.

Mon choix d'image, Yoga Tilda, ne surprendra pas mes amies proches! Je n'ai acheté que deux étampes dans cette nouvelle colection, The Winner Takes it all, mais Yoga Tilda était un must. Durant plusieurs années, j'ai eu une pratique de Yoga quotidienne, mais j'ai dû y renoncer. Cependant, la philosophie du yoga m'habite profondément, et je demeure convaincue que cette discipline a changé ma vie et ma façon de vivre et de me comporter. La posture prise par Tilda s'appelle Vrksasana, la posture de l'arbre; et elle était une de mes favorites. Chaque fois, c'était pour moi un défi d'équilibre, particulièrement les yeux fermés. Ne trouvez-vous pas que Tilda est une adorable yogi? Je le pense... et vous souhaite une journée fabuleuse, et comme disent les yogi, Namaste.

On to my card, Tilda was colored with Copics, and shaded her with Prismacolor. The beautiful die cut behind Tilda was made with my Cricut, paper lace cartridge. I made the lbeaded leaves and branches.

Ma carte maintenant, Tilda est coloriée avec les Copics, and les accents aux Prismacolor. La découpe provient de la cassette Paper lace, de cricut. Les feuilles et les branches sont en rocailles tissées avec du fil de cuivre.
