Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps - October Release - Blog Hop

Today we are celebrating all the new fabulous holiday goodies in our

Octoiber release that are now available in the 

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps shop.

Again, I used  the adorable cooking elf from the new

Krafty Elves set

to create a tag, that I will decorate my own handmade gifts,

such as a jar of homemade fruit ketchup on this image!

I colored the cute elf with copic markers.

and used a printed paper as background.

Little baskets to put on the table at ThanksGiving, for the grand kids, 

who are always looking for a surprise.

Those baskets are origami style boxes, I decorate and customize them 

according to the occasion!

All sides are different, 

I used the boy and girl prigrim for the front side.

Added a tag, decorated with a mushroom with the name of the kids on the back side.

Created a fall scene with a pumpkin and leaves and finally

the turkeys on the last side, with a sentiment.

Des petits paniers pour les enfants aux couleurs d'autonme et de l'Action de Grâce!

décorés avec des petits pélèrins, sur un côté,

une étiquette avec leur nom, de l'autre,

une nature morte... citrouille et feuilles d'automne,

et finalement les dindes et un sentiment sur la dernière face.

Les images sont toutes coloriées sur brisol velim avec des polychromos.

SCRAPPY CHALLENGE - Anything goes - no card

Happy New Year and welcome back to another month of Skrappy Fuat Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!!! We challenge YOU to make Anything BUT a Card!!!

I recycled a pull tab  tin can into a surprise container to present a gift!
What you will need:
1. a pull tab can
2. a can opener that does not leave sharp edges
3. a strong glue: like Lepage super glue, or crazy glue that works on metal4. your creativity!
I opened my can from the top, but I would suggest to open the bottom, to leave the top with the pull tab intact and solid when pulling to open.

I used KKS Stencil, Sparkling Snowflakes
Ruby Red and Pretty in pink inks
Shake it up Polar Bears Stamp set

J'ai recyclé une boite de conserve à tirette!

ce dont vous avez besoin pour réaliser ce projet:

1. une boite de conserve à tirette

2. un ouvreboite sécuritaire, qui ne laisse aucun rebord tranchant

3. de la colle Lepage Super Glue, ou de la crazy glue ou toute colle pour le métal.

4. votre créativité!

J,ai ouvert ma boîte par le haut, mais il est mieux de l'ouvrir par le bas,

ce qui laisse le couvercle à tirette non fragilisé. 

J'ai utilisé le Stencil:  Sparkling Snowflakes

Les encres Ruby Red et Pretty in pink

le jeu d'étampe: Shake it up Polar Bears 

and Voilà... ready for the gift!

Et voilà! prêt à recevoir une petite surprise!

Je me suis amusée à faire un accroche porte pour mon atelier

J,ai utilisé le jeu Let's get crafty lancé la semaine dernière.

Etampé sur Bristol Velin et colorié aux crayons de bois.

L'arrière plan est réalisé avec le stencil Stained glass, 

les encres Whimsical Whisteria et Pretty in Pink.

J,ai moi-même préparé mon glitter paste, agencé à l'encre.

I had fun making a door sign for my craft room!

I used Let's get crafty set released just last week.

I stamped the image on Bristol Velum and colored with pencils.

the background is made with the brand new Stained Glass stencil,

and the Whimsical Wisteria and Pretty in Pink hybrid inks.

I even made my own glitter paste to match.

KKS - September Scrappy challenge

Just last week, my friend Brigitte and I, took a road trip  to London, Ontario, to participate at the KKS Kraftin Retreat! oh!!!!! wow!!! it was simply a fabulous adventure! so much fun, meeting in person friends we follow on FB, meeting Kim and her fantastic team of DT,  tasting such a warm and friendly welcome and enjoying the ride and the moment!

I created nametags for us!

Purple, fairy, cat for Brigitte!

Blue, car, road trip for me!

En fin de semaine dernière, mon amie Brigitte et moi s'embarquions pour une aventure vers London, Ontario, pour participer  à la fin de semaine de scrapbooking organisée par Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps! OH!!!! c'était tout simplement FANTASTIQUE! Que de plaisir nous avons eu! Rencontrer en personne tous ces amis que nous suivons sur FB, et faire de nouvelles rencontres! et rencontrer Kim et son équipe de DT, une ambiance chaleureuse et accueillante à laquelle il fait si bon goûter!

À cet effet, j'ai préparé des étiquettes pour nous identifier!

Pour Brigitte, du mauve, sa couleur fétiche, un chat, parce que Brigitte et les chats, c'est indiscociable!

Pour moi, du bleu, et une image illustrant bien un road trip!

Kit and Clowder coloring class - Dreamcatcher

Bonjour! Hello! (english will follow)

Je me suis inscrite aux ateliers en ligne de Kit and Clowder  afin d'apprendre diverses techniques de mise en couleur aux crayons de bois. Je partage ici mon premier projet. Un attrape rêve. Imprimé sur papier Canson demi teinte, colorié aux prismacolor (que je déteste toujours autant pour leur fragilité) et aux FaberCastel.  Une légère couche de pan pastel en arrière plan pour donner une ambiance. Le sentiment est de Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps , de la planche Capture the moment.


I wanted to give more depth and shades to my pencil coloring, I regestered to Kit and Clowder  pencil coloring classes. This is my first project, a dreamcatcher. Printed on Canson demi teinte, colored with prismacolor (that still frustrate me as much as before) and FaberCastel. A light layer of panpastel to give an ambiance in the background. My sentiment is from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps, Capture the moment.

All the Krafty FUN is about to begin

This is Day ONE of our Krafty Peeks and we are incredibly excited to share everything with you!
Of course, as you know, August is always our Halloween release....eeeeeeeeeeee! Are ya scared?
We've got new stamps, stencils, ink and enamel dots!
Hang on to your candy people....here we GO!

We are kicking things off BIG today with

a fabulous new set from artist, Neda Sadreddin!!
SCAREDY CATS!

This adorable stamp set is full of little fluffers, pumpkins and sentiments! I think they're ready for fall, don't you?

As you hop around the Krafty Team's blogs today you will see the SCAREDY CATS stamp set in action in combination with our all of our other awesome new August Kraftin' Kimmie products!

You will spot our newest addition to the Krafty Kolours Hybrid Ink line! It's a gorgeous new bright green colour aptly named
GOBLIN GREEN!
As always it will be available in full sized ink pads, mini cubes and ink refills!

We've got TWO brand new Krafty Stencils for this month's release to coordinate with our Halloween theme!

I was part of the August Krafty Klub this month, and had the pleasure to play  with this cute stamp before it's release. This is my project!

Bigger basket ( using a 12 X 12 paper size) -  Lateral view, showing one of the adorable cat image, and the cute sentiment. Please not the cute Spooky dots (orange and green) on the sentiment.

Smaller basket ( Using an 8 X 8 paper size)  Lateral view, featuring anothe image of the set.

The two baskets side by side, featuring one image that I cut, using the fence to display the sentiment. which is stamped with the new color: Goblin Green.

Finally the back view, showing  another sentiment and a cute halloween badge from Scrap Accent.

More views to appreciate all the details! the flowers were all painted with KKS inks: in  Goblin Green, Punpkin Patch and Purple Petunia.

Challenge #492 - Go Green, chez Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps

Bonjour! Hello!

Go Green is the challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps this week.  and August is also the time we get our Halloween stuff ready at KKS!  I colored the cute Haunted House with crayons (mix of Prisma color and Faber Castel), wanted a dramatic effect in the sky, I used neon green as a base, and build up my colors afterwards.  I altered  a little cosmetic bag, to become a treat bag, to leave on the table, full of goodies, for my grand-children when they come !  The sentiment is from another set, Spooky Suckers and finally the fun little bats are from Harvest Blessings set! I love so much the versatility of the sets, because it is always possible to mix and match them to create the effect you want!

Le défi No. 492 chez Kraftin Kimmie est Go Green. Le mois d'août est aussi le mois où l'on se prépare pour  l'Halloween chez KKS. J,ai colorié la jolie maison hantée aux cratyons de bois, (prisma color et faber castel) pour obtenir la gamme de couleurs dont j'avais besoin. Je voulais créer un ciel dramatique, j'ai  utilisé le vert néon et bâti l'effet à partir de cette teinte pour créer des nuages un peu à l'air menaçant! J'ai transformé un petit sac à cosmétique en sac de surprise à laisser sur la table, pour mes petits enfants! Le sentiment provient d'un autre jeu,  Spooky Sucker et les adorables petites chauve souris de Harvest Blessings set. J,aime la versatilité des jeux de KKS, ils se marient si bien ensemble pour crééer l'effet souhaité!

A view of the back of the bag. I used an old foam stamp to emboss the "Boo" with the fabulous Mossy Meadow Krafty ink, and the pannels are all inked with this color to give a dramatic effect. It creates a more dramatic effect than simply inking in black. The little gostly figures are also from the Harvest Blessings set!

Le pourtour des cartons est aussi encré avec cette couleur séduisante, qui donne un effet plus dramatique que simplement du noir. Les petits visages de fantomes proviennent aussi du jeu Harvest Blessings.

July Scrappy Challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps

What a fun challenge they have this month at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps: anything but a card! For a while, I wanted to get my watercolor out of "retirement", I found the challenge just a bit too much! Soooo, I chose my Neocolor watersoluble pastel instead! and decided to do a little practice. 

two images turned out pretty good. I decided to play with them! I made big tags to hang on door handle, or any where, for that matter! I created one for each of my grand-children, Camille and Gabriel. I used the wonder set called: Happiness is reading. and showcased each image in a different style: Trains in blue for Gabriel and Fairies in purple for Camille.

Quel défi amusant ce mois-ci chez Kraftin'Kimmie Stamps: tout sauf une carte! J'ai délaissé mes aquarelles il y a un bon bout au profit des copics. Lorsque je suis en panne d'inspiration, je m'amuse avec différents mediums: j'ai sorti mes Neocolor, trouvant trop intimidant la palette d'aquarelle! de cet exercice, j'ai conservé deux images avec lesquelles j'ai créé des grandes étiquettes à accrocher à une poignée de porte, pour mes petits enfants! J,ai utilisé l'ensemble Happiness is readingSur le thème des trains, et de la couleur bleu pour Gabriel, et les fées et les teintes de mauves pour Camille!

Une vue rapprochée de l'image, où il est possible de voir les Krafty Dots, qui décorent superbement  tout projet ! J,ai utilisé les Lovely Dots pour Gabriel, et les Pastel Krafty Dots pour Camille.
