Girly day and bookcard! Journée de filles et une carte

Happy Monday,
On Saturday, we had our twice a year girly girls day organized by Valerie at Scrapbook ta vie, it also  just happened to be official scrapbooking day. the weather was beautiful, the location perfect and the fun was at the rendez-vous! and boy! did we enjoy ourselves. I prepared a little workshop on how to make a book card. and would like to show you the example I created to illustrate my project. I gave the instructions in french and was inspired by tina's tutorial in Magnolia INk magazine No. 2, 2012 -  and by the tutorial on her blog. 


Before presenting my card, I offer you some pictures of our scrapbooking day on Saturday.

Samedi avait lieu la journée de filles de Scrapbook ta vie, organisée d'une main de maître par Valérie. C'était aussi la journée officielle du scrapbooking. Il faisait un temps splendide, l'emplacement était parfait, et le plaisir était au rendez-vous. Et nous nous sommes amusées! J'avais préparé un petit atelier sur la confection d'une carte livre. et j,aimerais vous présenter la carte que j'ai créée en exemple. J'ai offert la marche à suivre en français, inspirée par le tutoriel de Tina, dans le magazine Magnolia INk, No.2-2012, ainsi que celui trouvé sur son blogue. Avant de passer à ma carte, je vous offre quelques photos de notre journée de samedi, qui fut MAGNIFIQUE!!!!

A ma carte!

On the cover, I used a cute Sylvia Zet image, called Spring Bringer, and it is most precious, cause I colored her while in Ottawa, with Claudia last month. She is printed on x-press blending card, colored with copics and shaded with prismacolors. I added some stickles on her wings, and a touch of perfect pearl to add some dimention on theflowers. I stamped my favourite swirl stamp, Vintage Garden from Stempleglede, all around the image, and embossed it. then, I inked the borders with distress inks, in tattered rose, tea die and shabby shutters. The wonderful papers are from Kayser Kraft, Sweet Nothings 6 1/2 paper pad. The beautiful punched borders in glitter gold and embossed with holographic power is from EK.

C'est une image de Sylvia Zet, appelée Spring Bringer, que j,ai utilisée sur la couverture. Elle est très précieuse car elle a été coloriée en compagnie de Claudia à Ottawa, le mois dernier. Elle est imprimée sur x-press blending card, coloriée aux copics et ombrée aux prismacolor. J,ai ajouté un peu de stickles sur les ailes, et du perfect pearl sur les fleurs pour donner un peu de dimension. L,étampe vintage garden de Stempleglede décore magnifquement le tour de l'image; imprimée au versamark, et embossée à la pourdre clair, puis encré avec les distress: tattered rose, shabby shutters et tea die. Mes papiers sont de Kayser Kraft, une tablette 6 1/2, Sweet Nothings. La bordure en volutes est un poinçon EK success, d'un côté dans un papier brillant et de l,autre un papier vert, encré et embossé à la poudre holographique.

the pages are cut in very vanilla papers, inked with Vintage photo, inside - out,  the lace was made with a MS punch, and the beautiful corners are from Cheery lynn. there is a litte side pocket to include a word or a gift card.

À l'intérieur, les pages sont en papier SU, très vanille, encrées à l'encre distress, vintage photo. J,ai utilisé un poinçon MS, et des coins de cheery Lynn.  Une petite pochette conçue pour y glisser une carte cadeau ou un petit mot.

I am sorry for the big difference in the ligh exposure, the above pic was taken inside, and the pic below, was taken this morning, in full sun. I would say that the above colors are closer to the real aspect. a light cream going a bit on the greenish side. It is the cold white background that gives the reflection...I have to yet to become a better photographer!!!!

Je suis désolée de la différence de teintes dans les photos! celle du haut est prise à l'intérieur, mais sans flash, et celle du bas dehors, en plein jour de soleil. Je vous dirais que ce qui se rapproche le plus de la véritable couleur, est la photo du haut, un crème tirant un peu sur le vert... C'est le fond blanc froid qui donne la réflexion bleutée. J'ai à m'améliorer beaucoup côté photo!

quoi de plus plaisant qu'un dimanche qui commence sous le soleil! si je viens vous faire un petit coucou, ce matin, avant d'aller marcher, c'est pour vous annoncer que Scrapbook ta vie offre chaque mois des ateliers de carte à la Danichou. Chaque mois, Valérie choisit une de mes cartes, que les participantes réalisent selon ma recette. Ce mois-ci, j'ai choisi de m'inspirer d'une image de Whimsey Stamp, Wee florist, de Sylvia Zet et de faire une carte de type shaker. Les magnifiques papiers de MME, collection On the bright  side, convenait parfaitement à cette jolie image, coloriée aux copics et prismacolor. Une technique que j'aime explorer de plus en plus. Such a lovely morning here in Montreal, the sun is shining and the birds are signing! I am making a short post, just before going walking along the river! to present you a card that will be offered in workshop at Scrapbook ta vie, the lovely boutique in St-Eustache that I design for. Each month, Valerie select one of my card, and I prepare a step by step recipe for the partipants. For may, I chose the lovely Whimsey Stamp, designed by Sylvia Zet, Wee florist, and made a shaker card. I used the wonderful MME papers, On the bright side collection that I feel worked perfectly with this cute image, that I colored using this technique I so love: copics and prismacolor.  At the end of the session, we will draw a name among all the participants, and she will received this card. I would like to mention that all the material used for this card, comes from Scrapbook ta vie, in St-Eustache.

Un gros plan de l'image, elle est si jolie cette petite fleuriste, et un plaisir à colorier, elle est imprimée sur xpress blending card, coloriée avec les copics, mais tous les contrastes faits avec du crayon de couleur.
