Un gars et son char... Greased Lightning

(The english text follows the french one.)

Bon Dimanche,

 Happy Sunday,
This week, my eldest son will turn 26!  I wanted to create a special card for him, and play a few challenges at the same time! My inspiration came from MDU whose challenge is "Inspired by a song"; then I saw Magnolia-licious, black & white... and  I just flipped over! Yessssssssss, my son is a car & truc guy, soooo I found the Grease lyrics: Greased Lightning, and sarted from there....

I thought Cool Edwin was just perfect as John Travolta, and Tilda's car (chut! do not mention it is a girl's car!) was just great. But it was not on the right side, so I flipped my image 180 degrees horizontally to have Edwin in front of the embossed aluminium border. I  colored with Copics, all cool grey collection. I will share with a a detail that hit me only when I was about to mount my card:  I colored on Cryogen white, by habit, and did not notice the yellowish shade of this white, until I placed it over the black and white paper. Next time, I will use X-Press blending card for such project, but it was too late to start over.

Inside, I created a little slit, decorated with the same aluminium embossed border, to insert a little pocket made with spellbinders; I will place our gift in there!

That is it for me today, I have other small projects, and hope my schedule will contribute.

Merci de votre visite, à bientôt.
Thank you for your visit. I should be back soon!!!

Just like John Travolta...LOL. Your colouring is B&W is fab. Kudos to all of you attempted this. I yet have to do it...LOL. Love your embossed metal sheet--I'm going to try that someday.
