INVENTORY CHALLENGE NO. 83, No image...

Happy Friday,
So happy to be back posting with my friends on the 83rd Inventory Challenge, featuring No Image theme. thank you for all your good words, my fingers have found their mobility back, and the pain has left. I still need to rest but, it is a lot better! I am sorry for not commenting very much, but I still have to be careful. I can't stay away from the keyboard, cause my friends are in the computer!

Contente d'être de retour avec mes copines pour le 83e Inventory Challenge, nous avons pour thème cette semaine: sans image... Je voudrais vous remercier de vos bons mots, et m'excuser de n'être pas très présente sur le web ces temps ci. Mes doigts ont retrouvé leur agilité, mais il ne faut pas que j'exagère. Il m'est bien difficile de rester loin du clavier, mes amies sont dans l'ordinateur!

For my card today, I chose to showcase the Serenity Prayer in a very special way. A long time ago, my mother in law offered me this prayer on a little card, and told me instead of turning problems in your head, just say those words, I swear it works.  Years later, I invested myself in a regular yoga practice, and had to chose a mantra. Well this prayer was my mantra. Still today, I repeat this prayer every day.

pour cette carte sans image, j'ai choisi d'encadrer la prière de la sérénité, présentée d'une manière spéciale. IL y a toute une histoire derrière mon attachement pour cette prière dont je vous épargne les détails, mais elle m'a été offerte il y a bien longtemps sur un petit bout de carton par ma belle mère, qui m'avait dit, au lieu de retourner les choses sans fin  dans ta tête, répète cette prière, ca marche. Des années plus tard, investie dans une pratique de yoga régulière, je devais choisir un mantra: et c'est cette prière que j,ai choisi. Encore aujourd'hui, je la répète chaque jour.



the front of the card, is a window frame, I used an acrylic piece on both sides and inserted a bit of micro beads in between, like a shaker card.


La face de ma carte est une grande fenêtre ovale faite avec des pièces d'acrylique entre lesquelles j'ai mis des micro billes. 

I used the beautiful papers from Kayser Kraft, Sweet Nothings, and cut the oval window with my cricut, Lacy labels cartridge, to give a bit of glitter, I inked the edges with distress INks, Stormy sky and Walnut stain, and embossed with holographic powder. my flowers are from Wild Orchid Craft.

C'est avec les magnifiques papiers de kayser Kraft, Sweet Nothings, que j,ai réalisé ma carte. J,ai coupé une fenêtre ovale avec ma Cricut, (Lacey labels), encré les bordures avec de l'encre distress Stormy sky, et Walnut Stain, puis embossé avec la poudre holographique. Mes fleurs sont de Wild Orchid Craft.






The prayer is hand embroidered on aida cotton,  with gold and brown thread; I had done that a while ago, and did not know what to do with it, it came in very handy for this card.

La prière est brodée à la main, sur un coton aïda, avec du fil brun et doré. J'avais fait cela il y a un bout, et je ne savais pas quoi faire avec!

this is an "artsy " view, unfortunately I was unable to take the 3 panels opened together, there is always one that is hidden. On the view below, you can see the inside of the front of the card, and the embroidered pannel.


Une vue latérale, qui cache cependant le centre à l'intérieur. on voitl'intérieur de la face frontale de la carte, ainsi que la prière brodée. 

The left side below, shows the middle pannel, with a wide space to write, and on the opposite, a little pocked to insert a donation or a sentiment...
A gauche, on voit le panneau central de la carte, où j,ai laissé beaucoup d,espace pour écrire, à droite, une petite pochette pour glisser un don, ou un petit mot.

INVENTORY CHALLENGE NO. 81 - Mother,s day card

Happy Friday Dear friends,
Christina, our lovely team and I welcome you to No. 81 challenge, a card featuring tenderness and maternal love. Once again, I have chosen to work with Bella and her mom, an image from Wild Rose Studio. I stamped my image on xpress blending card and colored with copics, with just a few touch of prismacolor. To add dimention, I used perfect pearls, and distress inks around the borders. My papers are also from Wild Rose Studio.

Christina, notre équipe et moi-même avons le plaisir de vous accueillr à notre 81ème défi, cette semaine notre thème est la tendresse et l'amour maternel.  Et je trouvais que Bella qui dort sur la trompe de sa maman est une image tout simplement adorable et représentant parfaitement  l,amour maternel. Mon image est étampée sur x-press blending card, coloriée aux copics avec une petite touche de prismacolor. J,ai donné un peu de dimension avec le perfect pearl. Mes papiers sont de Wild Rose Studio.

I have made the inside very simple. I had problems with my hands this week, so my crafting time was kind of limited and my keyboard became instrument of torture... A little pocket at the left, and a very large writing space, decorated with the same image, and a few flowers at the top.
 Cette semaine, j'ai eu quelques problèmes avec mes mains, et mon temps de loisir s,en est trouvé grandement affecté; mon clavier est même devenu un instrument de torture...  j'ai donc gardé l'intérieur assez simple. une petite pochette à la gauche, et un grand espace d'écriture à la droite, décoré avec la même image, et des petites fleurs.

INVENTORY CHALLENGE No. 80 - An image that resembles me.

Happy Friday dear friends,
Another week has gone by, and am I ever happy it is ended.  TGIF... yes! Let's hope the coming one will be more peaceful. Christina, myself and our lovely team are happy to welcome you to another challenge, our theme this week is making a project with an image that looks like you. I chose a MoManning image called: "checking FB", because I am addicted to my computer! Why? my friends are in there! Add a ponytail and a few wrinkles to this cutie and here I am, with my cup of coffee, checking my e-mails every morning. I went for an unusual fold, quite fancy actually for this card! I used the wonderful MME papers, called Howdy doody, added lots of glitter, and flowers, and there it is:

Une autre semaine vient de passer, et je ne suis pas mécontente de la voir derrière moi. j'espère que la suivante sera un peu plus calme... Christina, notre équipe et moi-même vous accueillons aujourd'hui pour un autre défi amical sous le thème : une image qui vous ressemble. J'ai choisi "Checking FB" de Mo Manning, parce que je suis continuellement accrochée à mon ordinateur! Pourquoi? simplement parce que mes amies sont dedans! À cette image, ajouter une queue de cheval, et quelque rides, et me voilà, chaque matin, avec ma tasse de café, qui vérifie ses courriels et ce qui s'est passé pendant la nuit. Un peu de fantaisie pour cette carte, des plis en 45!  J'ai décoré avec les super beaux papiers de MME, Howdy doody, ajouté beaucoup de brillant, des fleurs et voila...

 My image is stamped on x-press blending, colored with copics and shaded with pencils.OH! Was she fun to color. check her glasses: I put a drop of Glossy accent inside the frame! A bit of sticles on her sleeves and collar, glitter paint on the computer and liquid pear imitating the steam from her cup.

Mon image est imprimé sur x-press blending card, coloriée aux copics et ombrée aux crayons de bois. Observez ses lunettes! J,ai ajouté une goutte de glossy accent pour imiter les lentilles! et j'ai ajouté du liquid pearl pour imiter la vapeur s'échappant de son café. un peu de stickles sur le collet  et de la peinture glitter sur le couvercle du portable.

I cut the front of my card at a 45 degree angle, and added an extra panel for the back, but opposite ways. The off-white cardstock, in between the turquoise and the DP, is inked with distess inks (colors: vintage photo, tattered rose and tea die) then embossed with holographic powder.  I colored my peals with BG45 copic.

Le devant de la carte se divise en deux parties, à 45 degrés, et se referme sous l'image. Le carton crème entre le turquoise et le papier design est encré et embossé à chaud avec la poudre holographique (couleurs d'encre: vintage photo, tattered rose et tea die).

The left side was designed to hold a little gift card. I left the right side blank, and added a writing space in the middle section.
J,ai conçu le côté gauche interne de la carte pour y glisser un chèque ou une carte cadeau, dans l,espace central, un médaillon pour inscrire ses voeux, et la section droite est laissée tel quel.

INVENTORY CHALLENGE NO. 79, I'll sew you something...

Hello my friends, Happy Friday.
Christina, myself, and our talented team are happy to welcome you to our 79th Inventory Challenge, featuring SEWING. I knew on the spot what I wanted to try my hand at embroidery! I searched the web for a pattern and fell in love with a dream catcher, it was the idea that started my card. I used  Native American Tilda from the Bon voyage collection, and found the MME Fiddlesticks papers were perfect for my project.    Tilda was stamped on xpress blending card, colored with copics, and shadowed with crayons.  I used DMC gold and silver embroidery thread, as well as black, for my dream catcher.

Nous voici rendus à la fin d'avril, déjà... nous vous accueillons pour notre 79e Inventory Challenge, qui a pour thème: la couture. Je savais tout de suite que je voulais tenter l'expérience de la broderie sur papier. Me restait à trouver un "thème" à ma carte.  Je demeure tout près des rapides de Lachine, juste de l'autre côté du fleuve se trouve la réserve de Kanawake... c'est ce qui m'a inspiré ma carte le thème amérindien. J'adore les capteurs de rêves, j'en ai partout dans la maison.  Native American tilda, de la collection bon voyage, était parfaite pour mon projet, ainsi que les magnifiques papiers d'allure rustique, de MME, Fiddlesticks. Tilda est étampée sur x-press blending card, coloriée avec des copics, et les ombres faites aux crayons de bois.J,ai utilisé du fil DMC doré et argent, ainsi que noir pour broder mon capteur de rêve.

The dream catcher occupies most of the right panel of my card. but I have left an opening to insert a tag, which I forgot to include in the picture!

Le capteur de rêve occupe la presque totalité du paneau droit de ma carte, mais j'ai conservé une ouverture pour glisser une étiquette... que j'ai malheureusement oublié de photographier.

A close up of the dream catcher, I used distress ink in Walnut Stain and Black Soot around the borders and I stained the inside and around a little bit, cause the white of the card stock was shocking with the colour of the wood on the DP. the pattern I used comes from Stitching Cards.

Un gros du capteur de rêve. J,ai sali légèrement le carton derrière le capteur, et sur les bords, je trouvais que le contraste entre le style rustique et le blanc pur, était trop fort;  j'ai utilisé les encres distress Walnut Stain et Black soot.

INVENTORY CHALLENGE No. 78, Are you seeing spots?

Christina, our wonderful team and I are happy to welcome you to our 78th Inventory challenge, and we are asking you: Are you seeing spots?Did I ever enjoy working with that theme. I actually played more on words than using spots as a decorative element.

Christina, notre merveilleuse équipe, et moi même vous accueillons pour ce 78e Inventory Challenge, ayant pour thème: des pois, voyez vous des pois? J'ai adoré travailler avec ce thème. en fait, j'ai plus joué sur les mots que d'utiliser des éléments décoratifs à pois.

I have Explore Tilda (from the Sweet Rainbow 2011) "examining" a ladybug. I simply adore ladybugs, it is one of my obsessions!  I have to have everything that has a ladybug on it! No wonder why this Tilda is another of my very favourite. She is colored with copics and shaded with prismacolor. I added Decoart limelight glitter paint on the grass, glossy accent adds dimension to the magnifying glass, liquid pearl is what makes the little dots in the sky, stickles make the flowers sparkle, and the nice glossy black is made with claudine helmut black medium. I distressed and embossed the edges of my cardstock, colored my flowers to get the proper shade of yellow, and painted the cute ladybug I added to the flower cluster, with my copics. and... I also added black spots to the pearls decorating the corner. I cut the lovely black branches with a Joy Crafts die cut. My papiers are from the wonderful Country Garden from BoBunny. Now, you certainly are seeing spots now...... LOL.

J'ai choisi Explore Tilda (de la collection Sweet Rainbow 2011), je crois qu'avec sa loupe, elle ne peut pas manquer les pois! ni la coccinelle, j'adore les coccinelles, c'est une de mes obsessions! J'ai pleins de choses avec des coccinelles. Je l'ai coloriée avec des copics, fait l'ombre avec du prismacolor. Un peu de peinture scintillante DecoArt sur le gazon, du glossy Accent pour donner de la dimension au verre de la loupe, du liquid pearl dans le ciel, des stickles font scintiller les fleurs, et j'ai fait briller le noir avec le médium de claudine helmut. J'ai vieilli et embossé les bords de mon carton, encré les fleurs pour leur donner la bonne teinte de jaune, et peint au copic la petite coccinelle qui décore les fleurs. Les jolies petits branches noires sont coupées avec une découpe Joycraft. Mes papiers sont de la Collection BoBunny, Country garden. Maintenant... voyez vous des pois partout????

the end of another week, and another Inventory challenge. This time, Christina, our lovely team, and I have rummaged through our stamps to find a very old one, that we have almost forgotten! But before, I present my project, I would like you to give a warm welcome to a new member in our team, Elle from Elle's Creative Journey!

La fin d'une autre semaine nous amène un autre Inventory Challenge. Pour réaliser notre défi, nous avons dû fouiller dans nos étampes oubliées! Mais avant de vous présenter ma carte, j'aimerais que vous vous joignez à moi pour accueillir une nouvelle parmi notre équipe, il s'agit de Elle que vous trouverez à cette adresse. On to my card. I have chose Sugar Nellie stamp, I bought when I first started making cards: country style is her name, and she was perfect with the gorgeous MME papers, MIss Caroline (dolled up) collection. I colored my image with Copics, and shaded  with colouring pencils. As I said, I love mixing those two medium, warmth of the prisma, their waxy look, and the cold static look of the copics. I stamped the beautiful vintage garden stamp all around my image, embossed and added a bit of distress ink, in pumice stone, barn door and broken china to add a little vntage look. The beautiful corner I used is from Cheery Lynn design. my cardstocks are from Tim Holtz distress collection and SU Baja breeze.
à ma carte... J,ai choisi une étampe de Sugar Nellie, qui s'appelle Country Style; achetée en 2009, avant que je bloggue, et que s'installe l'obsession des Magnolia. Cette petite était parfaite pour les nouveaux papiers de MME - Miss Caroline (dolled up). J'ai colorié mon image aux copics, et l'ombre aux prismacolor. Je le répète...j'adore mélanger ces deux médium. l'un pour sa chaleur, et l'autre pour sa froideur statique. tout autour de mon image, j'ai étampé des petites fleurs avec Vintage garden, de Stempleglede; j'ai embossé avec de la poudre claire, et utilisé une touche d'encre distress de couleur: pumice stone, barn door et broken china pour donné un look vieillot. Le magnique coin est une découpe de Cheery Lynn, mes cartons sont de tim Holtz, distress collection, et de SU, baja breeze.

INVENTORY CHALLENGE NO. 76 -Create your own DP.

Happy Friday,
Christina, our lovely team and I are happy to welcome you to our 76th Inventory challenge, featuring the creation of our very own DP. I must say it was quite a challenge for me. I actually had no idea what I would do, and my head was not very up to creating! Guess I am still  in Ottawa! So... in this case, I usually do a lot of coloring to calm me down. So, my only DP would be the background cardstock I sprayed with Glimmer mist, and  lots of Goose Bumps, and the acetate sheet I used as water! where I added a few little fishes. Voilà...

Christina, notre merveilleuse équipe et moi-même sommes heureuses de vous accueillir à notre 76e Inventory Challenge, ayant pour thème la création d'un papier design. Je vous avoue que ce fut tout un défi pour moi! Je n,avais aucune idée de ce que je voulais faire, je crois que ma tête était encore à Ottawa!  J,ai choisi des images, j'ai colorié et espéré que l'inspiration du papier viendrait... Je me suis limitée à vaporiser du glimmer mist et du Goose Bumps sur un carton et d'utiliser de l'acétate pour créer un plan d'eau, où j'ai ajouté les petits poissons! Voilà...

Tilda and Edwin are colored with Copics; the scenery is colored with prismacolor crayons. I used alcohol ink on the acetate and stamped the little fishes with stazon.  I crocheted the lovely twine from MME (Follow your heart) and added starfishes, colored with copics.

Tilda et Edwin sont coloriés aux copics; la scène derrière eux aux prismacolor; j'ai utilisé de l'encre à l'acohol sur l'acétate pour créer l'effet de l,eau, les petits poissons sont imprimés au stazon. La jolie tresse est crochetée avec le cordon MME ( de chez Scrapbook ta vie), et j'ai ajouté des petites étoiles de mer coloriées aux copics.

INVENTORY CHALLENGE no. 75, Easter + animal

Happy Friday Friends,
Welcome to our 75th Inventory Challenge, featuring Easter + animal. I have loved  Tilda as Shepard, from the Hoppy Easter collection, 2010,  for so long and was waiting for this special time of the year to color her. She is soo pretty in her little purple dress.  I have stamped her on xpress blending card, colored with copics, and all the shading is done with colored pencil. I love mixing both medium, the warmth of the pencils' pigment mixed with the cold ink of the copics gives a balance, an harmony that I love very much. I was inspired by the wonderful sketch at  CLP Challenge blog, after seeing the lovely creation by my sweet friend Elise.

Bienvenue à notre 75e Inventory Challenge, ayant pour thème Pâques + un animal. J'aime  Tilda as Shepard depuis longtemps, mais je n'avais pas eu la chance de la colorier, alors voici l'occasion parfaite. Elle est de la collection Hoppy Easter, 2010. Elle est tellement jolie dans sa petite robe violet. Je l'ai étampée sur x-press blending card, coloriée aux Copics, avec les ombres faites aux crayons de bois. J,adore mélanger le pigment froid de l'encre du copic et la chaleur du crayon de bois, un équilibre parfait. Je me suis inspirée du magnifique sketch de CLP Challenge blog, après avoir visité ma chère amie Elise

Voici ma carte.

The beautiful papers are from Pion Design, Fairytale collection of spring, Violet; cardstocks from Bazzil and flowers (available from Scrapbook ta vie); the awesome leaves are a die cut from Marianne (LR0156).  I stamped the beautiful Stempleglede Vintage garden stamp around my image with Dazzle versamark, and embossed with clear powder; then, I inked with Tea dye and Milled Lavender Distress Inks. I added stickles to tilda's crinoline, on the little butterflies, and the little dots are made with perfect pearl.

Mes papiers sont de la magnifique collection Fairy tale of spring, de Pion design; mes cartons Bazzil et mes fleurs (disponibles Scrapbook ta vie); j'ai étalé des stickles sur les fleurs, j'adore ce petit détail brillant. Les magnifiques feuilles sont une découpe de Marianne (LR0156). J'ai utilisé tout autour de l'image la magnifique étampe de Stempleglede, Vintage garden, avec du versamark Dazzle, puis j'ai encré avec Tea dye, et Milled Lavender. Sur les petits papillons ainsique sur la crinoline de Tilda, j'ai ajouté une touche de brillant avec des stickles; et les petits points sont faits avec du perfect pearl.

I wanted a little secret pocket to hide a gift card, or $$, I made this one with a tiny envelope templated found on the web. It is stamped again with milled lavender and the Vintage garden stamp. 

J'aime ajouter une petite pochette secrete pour insérer de l'argent ou une carte cadeau, celle ci est faite à partir d'un modèle trouvé sur le web. Je l'ai étampé à nouveau avec Milled lavender et l'étampe de coin de Stempleglede. 

                                

I had no more paper to complete the other side, so I stamped and embossed the border of a very vanilla cardstock, inked with Tea dye and Milled lavender. I used the scraps to make a little slider, under which  a nice tag, (cut with Mariane die LR0154 from STV) to write wishes. The border lace is made with a MS punch.

Il ne me restait plus que 2 petites retailles de papiers pour compléter cette dernière page de ma carte. Alors, j'ai imprimé et embossé la même étampe, sur un carton très vanille de SU; que j'ai encré avec Tea dye et Milled lavender.  Au moyen d'un poinçon MS, j'ai découpé la dentelle sur le carton ou j'ai collé la retaille de papier, par dessus, j'ai fait un petit rectangle sous lequel je glisse la jolie étiquette de Marianne (LR0156) (disponible chez Scrapbook ta vie) où on peut écrire nos souhaits.

Once again, Christina, our friendly team and myself, are happy to welcome you to another edition of our Inventory Challenge. This week, our theme was to reunite Tilda and Edwin on a card. I needed to color... this means the week was rough. So, I set myself for THE CHALLENGE, figuring a sidestep card for a dyslexic is quite a challenge. But as you will discover below, I made it ...LOL...in time.

C'est à nouveau le moment de vous présenter notre défi amical, cette semaine notre défi était de réunir Tilda et Edwin sur une même carte. J,avais besoin de colorier, alors je me suis lancée dans un projet... extravaguant! Je me suis aussi mise au défi de réaliser une carte  de style "side step" que je redoute, étant dyslexique,  je fais tout à l'envers et je peine à comprendre les tutos en vis à vis...mais avec patience et persévérence, j'y suis parvenue.

 I love fairy tales, so I was well served with this new Magnolia collection.  I had this urge of coloring Medieval Tilda on her horse, so I imagine a scene where she would be riding in the country side, and Prince Edwin would wait for her, and propose... Ah!!!!!!!!!!!!  how romantic... I choose Prince Edwin with his glass shoe to accompany her. All my stamps are stamped with Versafine black onyx ink, on Strathmore Bristol Vellum papers, and colored with Faber Castel, except the magnolia tree, which is on xpress blending and colored with copics.  Hours of pleasure. Now, on to the many pictures.

J,adore les contes de fée, alors la nouvelle collection de Magnolia me comble. Je rêvais de colorier Medieval Tilda sur son cheval, alors j'ai imaginé une scène où le Prince Edwin irait à la rencontre de sa princesse qui fait une promenade à cheval  dans la campagne. Ah!!!!!!!!! quelle romance. C'est Prince Edwin with glass shoe, qui accompagne Tilda, et de l'autre côté, on distingue le chateau de Sir Edwin. toutes mes images sont étampées sur Stratmore Bristol Vellum, avec Versafine, black onyx et coloriées avec les FAber Castel, sauf l'abre Magnolia, qui est étampée sur xpress blending card, avec memento, et colorié aux copic. Des heures de plaisir!!!

A close up of Tilda on her horse, OH! he is so much fun to color! and I used my favourite Floral Background from the Hoppy Easter collection, behind Tilda so that she seems like horse"side"riding in a country like scenery.

Ungros plan de Tilda sur son cheval. OH!! quel plaisir à colorier. J,ai aussi utilisé mon arrière plan favori, de la collection Hoppy Easter, floral Background, pour donner l'effet de campagne que je cherchais.

Un autre gros plan, de Edwin, cette fois, et du bel arbre à magnolia... si représentatif du printemps. j'adore ces arbres et j,ai hâte de les voir fleurir.
