Inspirational Wednesday - Perfect Peoney

Hello Krafty Friends!

It's INSPIRATIONAL WEDNESDAY

 

I have created two cards, in very different style, with one stamp set.

PERFECT PEONY

I stamped this gorgeous flower with pigment ink (versamark) `

 on watercolor paper and embossed it with white powder

to created a stained glass effect, in a more discreet version than with black lines.

I am sharing two images, displayed and colored differently, 

as we always need spare cards, which designs offer many sentiment possibilities, 

reason why I allowed sufficient blank space to be suitable for different styles of appropriate sentiment 

when the time comes.

Both images were colored with the same watercolor receipe

( a mix of purple, pink, french ultramarine, and some paynes grey)

I used a mix of paynes grey and green for the leaves.

J'ai étampé cette jolie pivoine sur du papier aquarelle avec du versamark et je l'ai embossée avec de la poudre blanche, pour donner un effet vitrail, mais plus délicat qu'avec de la poudre noire.

Je la présente en deux versions différentes: une avec brillant et l'autre plus discrète, disposées différemment, et offrant la possibilité d'une gamme de sentiments.

J,aime bien avoir des cartes toutes prêtes, lorsque j'en ai besoin, `

et les fleurs se prêtent à tant d'occasions.

Les deux images sont mises en couleur à l'aquarelle, avec la même recette

(un mélange de violet, de rose, de bleu et de gris de payne.)

Pour les feuilles, même gris et un peu de vert.

I colored this one in more discreet tones of purple, and went very light in the background.

I also added a diecut corner. No glitter on this one, as I intend to keep it sober  for a sympathy card.

Celle ci se fait un peu plus discrète, sans brillant, et dans des tons plus doux.

j'ai ajouté un coin décoratif.

Oh! my gosh... I simply adore these walrus, enjoyed coloring them soooo much!

Stamped on bristol velum and colored with Polychromos.

I created a porthole, embossed it to give texture, and used Krafty dots all around. My papers are by Photoplay, Monterey Bay. I embossed my sentiment to give dimention, and placed it on a small tag .

Ce que j'ai aimé colorié les morses de ce jeu d'étampes, leur donner vie fut un véritable plaisir! Ils sont coloriés avec les Polychromos sur Bristol Velum. 

C'est d'un hublot que l'on voit l'image sur ma carte! 

Pour imiter les vis, j'ai utilisé des Krafty dots.

J,ai utilisé les papiers de la collection Monterey Bay de Photoplay.

Placé mon sentiment sur une petite étiquette, embossé pour donner de la dimension.

Simply Magnolia - June Challenge - Flowers and lace

New month, New challenge at Simply Magnolia!

Anything goes with Flowers and Lace in option.

I choose Tilda loves Flowers, from Sweet Crazy Love (2011) collection, she is stamped on xpress blending card, colored with copics. the vignetting is done with Distress inks, Tumbled glass, and victoria Velvet shades, I added stickles to the edges.

My sentiment is from Simple à souhait, bonne fête divers.

I was so happy when OUT OF THIS WORLD  got re-stocked lately!

I love those cute monsters, and wanted to create a card with them

for my grand-son sixth birthday!

Le moment où nous vous offrons une inspiration!
Je suis l'hôtesse cette semaine
et je suis heureuse de vous présenter le jeu
OUT OF THIS WORLD
qui est de retour dans la boutique dernièrement.
J'adore ces petits monstres, et j'ai créé une carte pour le sixième anniversaire
de mon petit fils Gabriel.

A long long time ago, in a far far away galaxy,
a close encouter between two adorable monsters
and a young adventurous astronaut occured.

I stamped all my images with Party Peach ink, did a lot of masking `

to squeeze every one in that narrow space.

I lengthen the flag pole held by the astronaut from the set Blast off! to give a sense of height.

The images are colored with Polychromos, on bristol velum. 

I used solvent on the monsters to create a soft shading, and a bit of texture.

I masked all my images to make the sky. Starting close to the planet 

I brushed many coats of Stormy Sky ink, followed by Magical Midnight

Sparkling Sapphire and Bubbly Blue.

I mixed some Gloss heavy gel with lots of silver glitters and 

applied sparingly with the Star Burst Stencil, which I also used to draw the  six stars in the flag, adding some Stickles to make them shine!
I used the Party Time Dots on the sentiment from
Party Time Sentiment set.

Il y a très très longtemps, dans une très lointaine galaxie
eut lieu une rencontre du troisième type
entre deux adorables petits monstres et
un jeune astronaute aventurier!
Mes images sont étampées sur bristol velin avec l'encre Party Peach.
coloriées aux Polychromos; j'ai aussi utilisé du solvant (taltine) pour donner douceur et texture.
j'ai utilisé plusieurs masques pour créer cette scène
et faire entrer tous les personnages dans cet espace quand même étroit.
J'ai allongé le mât du drapeau tenu par le jeune astronaute du jeu Blast off pour donner une sensation de hauteur dans l'image.
Pour créer le ciel, j'ai masqué toutes les images, j'ai utilisé une brosse pour appliquer mon encre,
plusieurs couches ont été nécessaire pour obtenir l'intensité que je souhaitais.

Sparkling Sapphire  et Bubbly Blue.
Puis j'ai appliqué une mixture de Gel épais brillant avec beaucoup de brillants argent,
avec le stencil Star Brust, aussi utilisé pour dessiner les étoiles sur le drapeau.
Les Party Time dots décore le sentiment.

to inspire you and help get your creative juices flowing!

and my challenge for you is

LAYERS.

Cette semaine, je suis l'hôtesse de ce défi amusant 

qui peut vous aider à garder votre pensée créative en ébullition.

et, mon thème est 

ajouter des couches ( LAYERS)

I love building cards with many layers!

for this one, I started with a plain cardstock, and used both 

Whimsical Wisteria and Gorgeous Grapes 

with our Confetti Stencil to build the base of my card.

I wanted to go vintage, so I went with a flowery patterned paper (from Magnolia)

for my center piece where I wanted to enhance the sentiment

from

PARTY TIME  SENTIMENTS SET from artist Melissa Baker Nguyen

j'aime beaucoup construire des cartes à plusieurs couches

je trouve que cela donne du volume et de la dimension.

Pour la base de cette carte, j'ai commencé avec le Stencil Confetti

et les encres Whimsical Wisteria et Grogeous Grapes.

J'avais envie d'un style vintage, qui marierait bien ces teintes de violet.

j'ai choisi un papier imprimé à fleur de Magnolia, qui mettrait en valeur

mon sentiment

de l'ensemble PARTY TIME SENTIMENT SET  de l'artiste Melissa Baker Nguyen.

A die cut doily from Marianne Design constitutes the center piece,

to which I added an inside circle with same paper

finally placing my sentiment.

I created a bouquet, decorated it with string ribbons.

I added purple color to my flowers with same shades of inks and

completed their glittery finish with Glamour dust cristal.

Une découpe de Marianne Design constitue la pièce centrale,

auquel j'ai ajouté un cercle fleuri pour rappeler la base

Puis mon sentiment embossé avec l,encre purple grapes.

Pour compléter le tout, un bouquet de fleurs, dont les couleurs ont été rehaussées

à l'encre violet, et enduite de Glamour dust pour plus de brillant.

un ruban jute, allant bien avec le style vintage complète le tout.

sans oublier, les petits Krafty dots dans le coin opposé aux fleurs.
