Cowgirl in the sand

Happy Sunday to all of you.
Creating this card took me out of my comfort zone! This week at Stamptacular we suggest a wonderful sketch. My Favorite Things being our sponsor, we were invited to use their digi stamps. When I chose Ride'em Cowgirl, I honestly did not now what I would create with it, worse was a choice of greeting! I decided to go with a monochromatic card, in shades of brown. I tempted to imitate a suede texture in the skirt, but I don't know if it shows on the picture... then, came the idea of the lasso, I used fishing line to add volume!  I glued sand on the image to make believe of a rodeo ring. I was still out of a proper sentiment, being french means having vocabulary restrictions! In such instance, Google is my best friend. Well when I searched Cowgirl, Google's first result was "Cowgirl in the sand" an old song by Neil Diamond, that I honestly don't know! But must admit I loved the title. However, it could not be used as a sentiment, so I kept searching how a Cowgirl in the sand would greet someone she'd meet? this is where I came up with "Howdy", hope this is appropriate, please let me know!
As to the recipe for this card is concerned, I used the beautiful "lost and found" paper stash from Tim Holtz. I hand sewed the panel on the card with fishing line. I used Distress INk in vintage photo and walnut stain to color the panel I embossed with Post card embossing folder by Cuttlebug. The letters were cut with Quickutz alphabet. I used sand along the distressed panel. For the inside, I embossed a cardstock colored with the same distress inks on one page, on the other, it is the Tim Holtz paper with the remaining of the front panel, along with this beautiful ribbon in jute also used on the front of my card, a gift from a very dear friend.
Thank you for stopping by and let me know, if you are inspired!

Cowgirl in the sand, qui convient si bien.
