INVENTORY CHALLENGE No. 54 CARD WITH A TAG OR TAG CARD

Happy Friday,
This month seems to be blown with the wind... I see the end of it coming toooo fast. Today, is the special day for our friend Cathy-Lynn, who is celebrating her birthday: HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY CATHY!  Just for the fun of sharing, I have no grand child, but I will be babysitting my DIL's dogs next week as they will go on vacation! A Boston Terrier, Willie,  and a Pug, Zoro! That means they will keep me in shape, they love walking! Let's get back to our challenge, here, for this 54th Edition, Christina and I suggested TAG... I just had to come back with this wonderful diagonal double pocket card that dear Claudia made a tutorial on SCS. I love this card, it leaves me with so much possibilities.

Bon Vendredi,

Last week, I attended my first Crop as DT, and the subject was an enchanting Fall. The location was a wonderful sugar camp in St-Joseph du Lac, surrounded by orchards. We were lucky to see the sun and a wonderful rainbow. I had fun giving a small presentation on how to make a slider card; that did not leave me much time to create, so I decided to color images that this beautiful site inspired me. I could not resist driving down the little road and picking a few MacIntosh apples. Delicious. I chose Apple Edwin from the Little Yummy 2009 collection and Apple Tilda from the 2010Autumn collection, that I stamped on bristol paper and colored with Prismacolor and Taltine.

.

I inserted 2 tags in the pockets... The first one is the image of Edwin with a belly ache, certainly because he could not resist all those delicious apples Tilda has picked. On the second tag, I placed the sentiment over another basket of apple. I put a bit of glossy accent on the apples to give them a bit of volume and gloss.

I used all scraps of paper for the inside. To leave lots of space for writing, I used the tag again, and printed in brown the apple basket.

I hope you will try this style of card, that gives you so many possibilities, and that you will take a few moments to visit my team mates.
Happy weekend.

wwaaahhhh... Danielle...soooo pretty and gorgeous.
Your coloring is just soooo pretty.
i love especially how you have colored Tilda!

Thanks for choosing that tutorial and mentioning me was just so kind of you. You know.. i never liked that the original card was so "lumpy" cause it just uses one sheet of paper. I love love what you came up with!!!
I think i will give it an other try. you totally inspired me.

love and hugs

Oh wow Danielle. I really like this style of card - I love using tags. The colors are gorgeous especially the way you have colored Tilda. And your apples look real. I told Edwin not to eat so many of those delicious apples. Now he needs that sad looking doctor but NOT the nurse with the giant hypodermic needle!! I also like the use of the Magnolia fence. I always forget I have that. Last but not least is your use of birds. I simply adore birds and enjoy feeding them all year long. Wonderful card sweet friend.

What a precious card! You did an amazing job on the coloring, choosing images and making all the tags. I really like the Apple Edwin and Apple Basket stamps. Your colors are perfect fall colors. The bright reds and oranges fade too quickly to the browns.

Elle me parle donc beaucoup.

Wow, what a special spectacular card! It took me quite a bit to realize how it's made; couldn't figure all out, but I so admire something I can't do:) Goergeous coloring as usual and all those layers simply blow me away! Love the yellowish shades on Tilda's clothing;each time I see such beautiful Prismapencils coloring I just feel like doing this too. BUt I guess I'm too lazy for that right now; and I must admit I don't think I have the necessary skills:) Till then I sit back and admire yours and Dorcas'e works of art:)
Just don't go back to copics, your coloring is much too special:)
Bisous!
