Ravenclaw Challenge - Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps

Bonjour ! Hello!

The Harry Potter month is ending soon at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps, and my last challenge so happends to be the Ravenclaw house, which is my own house! Ravenclaw is the house that champions those with a ready mind, it welcomes eccentric people, those who think outside of the box and speak their minds.  I can relate to many of those specifications, but I think they should be "lived" with kindness. Cultivate kindness in everyday's life is most important to me. I  selected this very image from the Life is a Joy  set, released earlier this month, because it is so sweet. . I wanted to illustrate the values of Ravenclaw in a very kind way!

 Have you recognized the  blond girl and the red hair boy? 

Thinking outside the box is what triggered my inspiration.  so ...I made a book card, and the image is in a shadow box.  I used the Ravenclaw color (blue) as my main contrasting cardstock.
Quite a challenge to take good pictures!

The lovely sentiment is from the "Life is a joy" brand new set from July launch. 

The starry sky effect is created with the  Starburst Stencil, the ink I used is Party Peach, also new in July.

The image is showcased in a shadow box! I stamped my image with the peach ink, did the no line technique with Polichromos pencils, on Bristol paper.

An  angle picture to better see the pages of the book, all inked with Party peach, I cheated a bit, and distressed the look with Vintage photo.

I substituted the title for the publishing house, which happends to be Ravenclaw Editor!

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge #490 - focus on a sentiment

Hello! Bonjour!

When inspiration is not at the table, I usually do tests! A while ago, I tested Yupo paper with alcohol inks. I ended up discarding most of my swaps except for these 2 that were sitting on my desk. I though they could make small bookmarks, and  could be interesting with a lovely citation, or sentiment.  I choose 2 different stamp sets: Happiness is reading and Just one more page from the last lauch at Kraftin Kimmie. The size of those sentiments was perfect for a small bookmark, perfect with the swaps I had kept.  Stamping on this paper and alcohol ink is tricky: I tried versafine, which is a bad choice; then Adirondac archival, which did an acceptable job; to realize that a hybrid ink would have given the best result on Yupo and alcohol! (black definitely on my wish list!!) I used a lovely clear envelope from Clear Bags Canada, they have all sizes and the quality is impeccable. I added a tassel, also from Clear Bags, and a charm, a feather completing the embellishments.

Lorsque l'inspiration n'est pas au rendez vous, je fais des tests et des pratiques! Il y a quelque temps, j'avais fait des essais sur papier Yupo avec de l'encre à l'acool, dont je n'ai gardé qu'une lisière que je trouvais intéressante, et qui est restée sur mon bureau jusqu'à ce jour. Le défi du samedi de Kraftin Kimmie propose de mettre en valeur un sentiment.  J,ai choisi  ceux des jeux Happiness is reading et Just one more page .Ce qu'il me restait de ces essais était juste parfait pour un petit signet de 3 po X 4 po, glissé dans une mignonne enveloppe de Clear Bags Canada. Choisir une encre qui donnerait le meilleur résultat, qui sécherait assez rapidement sur ce papier fut un défi en soi! J'ai essayé Versafine, qui se révéla être un fiasco; l'encre Adirondac archival donna un résultat acceptable. J'ai compris que le meilleur résultat serait une encre hybride qui se marie bien aux encres à l'acool. J,ai ajouté une petite breloque et une plume pour compléter la déco, ainsi qu'un gland.

July Scrappy Challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps

What a fun challenge they have this month at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps: anything but a card! For a while, I wanted to get my watercolor out of "retirement", I found the challenge just a bit too much! Soooo, I chose my Neocolor watersoluble pastel instead! and decided to do a little practice. 

two images turned out pretty good. I decided to play with them! I made big tags to hang on door handle, or any where, for that matter! I created one for each of my grand-children, Camille and Gabriel. I used the wonder set called: Happiness is reading. and showcased each image in a different style: Trains in blue for Gabriel and Fairies in purple for Camille.

Quel défi amusant ce mois-ci chez Kraftin'Kimmie Stamps: tout sauf une carte! J'ai délaissé mes aquarelles il y a un bon bout au profit des copics. Lorsque je suis en panne d'inspiration, je m'amuse avec différents mediums: j'ai sorti mes Neocolor, trouvant trop intimidant la palette d'aquarelle! de cet exercice, j'ai conservé deux images avec lesquelles j'ai créé des grandes étiquettes à accrocher à une poignée de porte, pour mes petits enfants! J,ai utilisé l'ensemble Happiness is readingSur le thème des trains, et de la couleur bleu pour Gabriel, et les fées et les teintes de mauves pour Camille!

Une vue rapprochée de l'image, où il est possible de voir les Krafty Dots, qui décorent superbement  tout projet ! J,ai utilisé les Lovely Dots pour Gabriel, et les Pastel Krafty Dots pour Camille.

Anything goes Challenge at Kraftin Kimmie Stamps

Bonjour ! Hello!

voici ma création de Noël à l'année pour le mois! J,ai utilisé le trop joli père Noël de Kraftin Kimmie Stamps  de l'ensemble Dear Santa. Il est colorié au copics, sur Hammermill, mes papiers sont de My MInds' Eye, Santa Claus.  J,ai aussi utilisé le sketch de la semaine précédente, que j'aimais beaucoup.

Today, I share a Christmas card with you! I do one each month, to have a collection by Christmas time! I used the awesome set Dear Santa, from Kraftin Kimmie Stamps . I colored my image with copics, on Hammermill cardstock. My papers are from MME, Santa Claus. I also used a precedent challenge sketch, which I liked very much.

Hufflepuff Challenge at Kraftin Kimmie Stamps

Bonjour ! Hello!

Le mois Harry Potter bat son plein chez Kraftin Kimmie Stamps, voici ma création pour le défi Poufsouffle. Cette maison valorise la patience, la loyauté deux qualités qui s'apparentent à la gentillesse, à la douceur. C'est ce que j'ai tenté d'illustrer avec une image de l'ensemble Tweetie Pies, empreinte de gentillesse et de bonté. La jolie demoiselle est coloriée aux copics. Mes papiers sont de Maja Design, collection Sofiero.

Harry Potter theme month is well under way at Kraftin Kimmie Stamps, today I share with you my creation for the Huffelpuff challenge. This House  values patience, loyalty and fairplay. Qualities that require kindness, sweetness. I tried to illustrate those qualities with one of the images of the Tweetie Pies set. Nature teaches us patience and kindness. I colored my image with copic markers, my papers are from Maja Design,  Sofiero Collection.

Bonne fête Gabriel! - Kraftin Kimmie Challege

Bonjour ! Hello! (english will follow)

C'est une première carte pour le défi Gryffondor chez Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. Cette maison de l'école de Poudlard favorise le courage et la bravoure.  J'ai créé une scène avec le petit garçon de l'ensemble Totally Tubular, qui se présente devant la mer, un peu hésitant! elle était dédiée à notre petit fils Gabriel, qui a eu 5 ans en fin de semaine. Il a été bien brave tout l'hiver en suivant des cours de natation à la piscine! L'arrière plan a été créé avec le stencil Krafty Scenery, ainsi que celui des vagues - Wonderful waves, le tout réalisé avec des encres, de l'embossage et les marqueurs copics.

It is my first participation to the Harry Potter month at Kraftin Kimmie Stamps. This House of Poudlar School encourages courage and bravery. I created a scene showing how much courage it takes to swim in the ocean a first time! featuring the Totally Tubular Set, the Krafty Scenery stencil for the sky, and the Wonderful waves, stencil to give dimention to the ocean. 

Mostly done with Copic markers, exception of the sky that I did with inks, and color contrast to the ocean

Slytherin challenge at Kraftin Kimmie Stamps.

Je m'amuse beaucoup sur le groupe de Krafin' Kimmie Stamps sur FB où le mois de juillet est consacré à Harry Potter. J,ai conçu cette carte pour le défi de Serpentard. Harry est bien déterminé à réussir sa classe de potions. Il est certain qu'il a concocté une recette de potion pour voyager dans le temps. Pouvez vous deviner à quelle époque  Hermione et Ron ont atterri?

I have been having much fun participating at the Harry Potter month at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

I created this card for the Slytherin Challenge. Harry is determined to achieve his potion class! He is certain he has a recipe for "Time travelling" potion! Can you guess where it has taken Ron and Hermione?

Grâce à cette carte à pochettes doubles, j'ai pu dissimuler des étiquettes avec une image provenant de l'ensemble Cave kids, Ron facile à reconnaître à ses cheveux roux, et Hermione en blonde à la coiffure préhistorique! La mise en couleur des personnages est faite aux marqueurs copics, l'arrière plan avec des gelato, pour donner un effet vaporeux!

This double pocket card style gave me the opportunity to create two tags, representing Hermione and Ron, dressed up as cave kids! they have have landed in a prehistoric period!  I colored them with copics, and created the vaporous background with gelato.

I wonder if Ron and Hermione will meet Fred and Wilma from the Flinstones?

Bonne fête Gabriel 5 ans - KKS Ch# 487 Use a number

Bonjour! Hello!

Je suis en plein blitz de créations de cartes de fête pour Gabriel, qui aura 5 ans dans quelques jours.  Cette carte est ma participation au défi de Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps, No. 487 - Utiliser un chiffre. Elle met en vedette l'ensemble "Blast off!!!!" , j'ai colorié le petit astronaute aux marqueurs copics.  Je pratique mes ciels avec les tutos de Alyce Keegan, que j'aime beaucoup!

Full production of birthday cards for grandson turning 5, later this week! This card is my take at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps  numberChallenge No. 487, Use a number. It features the Blast off !!! set, colored with copics. I must add that I have been practicing skies, following Alyce Keegan's tutorial.

Add a sentiment at Simply Magnolia

Bonjour! Hello! (english will follow)
Ce mois ci pour notre défi Simply Magnolia, qui consiste à ajouter un sentiment,  je vous présente une petit boîte cadeau (Boitatou) pour l'arrivée d'un nouveau petit garçon. J,ai colorié une étampe Magnolia (Sitting Baby Alvin)  de la collection spring/summer 2008, sur papier Cryogen White, avec les marqueurs Copics.  Les lettres sont coupées avec découpes Quickcutz.

This month,  the challenge at Simply Magnolia is anything goes + add a sentiment,   I share with you a little gift box (boitatou) for a new baby boy! I colored Magnolia ( Sitting Baby Alvin) from the Spring / Summer 2008 collection, it is stamped on Cryogen White and colored with copics. My letters are cut with Quickcutz diecuts.

I added a tiny envelope on which I will write a message.
