INVENTORY CHALLENGE No. 16

Happy Friday !

Once again, Christina and I welcome you for our Inventory Challenge. The theme this week made me laugh so much, Christina suggested "something to do with cooking".... then she e-mailed me the title from  a song by Hank Williams, when I was not even born! Hey Good Lookin', Whatcha got cooking... When I listened to it on you tube, I honestly did not know what it could inspire me, but laugh. Then, this phrase rang the bell of my imagination... "I've got a hot-rod Ford..." This picture came to mind: an old pick-up, full of apple baskets!  It is the country style that inspired my card. And I saw Tilda ready to bake apple pies for her guy!!! Or, like Christina wrote me yesterday.... Apple Crisp.... Miam miam... Too bad, you live so far from me, you would certainly find me at your door step, this is one of my favourite desert.

I used the wonderful sketch from Sketch Saturday (No. 139) to complete my card.  Hope you will be inspired!

C'est le ton country de cette chanson qui m'a inspirée. J'ai choisi un beau sketch the Sketch Saturday et Apple Tilda de la collection Autumn 2010. Et j'ai donné un air tout à fait champêtre à ma carte. J'espère qu'elle vous inspirera, soit de créer ou de faire des tartes aux pommes!

Chinese Tilda for a special occasion

Happy Thursday to you all,

I have been quite busy lately, and away from my crafting table... I had hoped being able to post on the 22, cause it was my blog's first anniversary. But I couldn't...I still wanted to celebrate, better late than never, this unique occasion. Time went by, so fast! I learned so much! I can now link my pictures to my blog or enter a challenge a lot faster and without making everything disappear! (LOL) I have learned so many techniques, my creativity  bloomed as I was able to meet and be inspired by so many talented artists. Nothing like such would have happened if I had not had the courage to overcome my fear for technology. It is Chinese Tilda that I have taken along for this adventure in creation; she is very special to me. I am fascinated by I was inspired by Jeanette's  wonderful sketch for FRiday Sketchers. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you from the bottom of my heart, for all your visits, your wonderful comments, your words of encouragements. I hope my work inspires you to devote a moment on your day, especially for creating.

Il semble que le temps passe à une vitesse grand V ! Je n'ai pas eu beaucoup de temps à consacrer à mes activités créatrices cette semaine, compte tenu de mon autre vie qui a exigé beaucoup de mon temps! Samedi  dernier marquait un an de blog pour moi! En effet,  le 22 janvier je publiais pour la première fois. J'aurais souhaité célébrer plus officiellement, mais le manque de temps m'en a empêché. Entretenir ce blogue a pris une grande place dans ma vie. Je suis reconnaissante à ce monde virtuel de m'avoir apporté ce que le monde matériel n'a pas pu. Je suis vraiment heureuse d'avoir eu le courage de braver mon ignorance devant cette technologie. Grâce à ma persévérance, je vous ai recontrées! J'ai pu partager, apprendre; ma créativité s'est épanouie. J,ai découvert un monde... Vaut mieux tard, que jamais dit le proverbe. Il me fallait donc souligner cet événement quand même. J,ai choisi Chinese Tilda et je me suis inspirée du magnifique sketch de Jeanette pour Friday Sketchers. Je voudrais aussi vous remercier du fond de mon coeur pour les gentils messages, les encouragements. J'espère que mon travail vous inspire, vous invite à réserver un moment de créativité dans votre journée!

MAGNOLIA LICIOUS CHRISTMAS ALL YEAR LONG

For this first hop of the year, I have chosen Tilda in winter coat, I don't see here now at Diana's, but she can certainly order it for you. I would love if it inspires you to create Christmas cards all year, I can tell you I am having fun everytime.
I loved so much this wonderful collage stamp from Stampin up, that I just knew  I had to get it. Isn't it beautiful? I inked it with Cherry Cobbler ink, and embossed it with clear powder.  Tilda is colored with Copics, and the fur on her coat, is lots and lots of  Stickles!

Inventory Chalenge No. 15 - WHAT A WONDERFUL THING LOVE IS...

What a wonderful thing love is... So wonderful and precious, we seem to be running after it all through our lives. It wis our theme this week for our Inventory Challenge. I did not know this song, so had to listen to it in order to be really inspired. I grasped this part: "Oh! I can see you standing there  now, And you're the prettiest thing in the crowd"

And there was my inspiration... I could see Tilda standing there, with a flower in her hand, she certainly is the prettiest thing in the crowd. I chose Tilda with peony, from the Wedding Collection,  because anyone would fall in love with her! And she does so very well represent what  wonderful thing love is, I hope you agree wih me.

INVENTORY CHALLENGE NO. 14

Gooood Friday dear friends,                   (Dérouler l'écran, pour la version française)

How special this challenge is ! No. 14 on the 14th... I love making associations! Christina and I were just wondering where to look for something different, there are many challenges on the "market", with various themes. I had an idea: what about a song... Christina came up with Happy days are here again. The first thing that came to my mind was Harry Winkler as the Fonz, and Ron Howard as Richie Cunningham... Perhaps Edwin could be brought to play one of them?? I just could not find anything that pleased me. Then, I listened to the song by Brabra Streisand and Judy Garland. I found myself singing all day...And the idea came. I would showcase Tilda on a journey to happiness... The freedom of just walking in nature. And I would also add a little personal challenge. I always loved watercolor for its transparency and fluidity. I did take courses, workshop and never went beyond this, it's a long list mishaps. I felt it was time to give myself a chance to see if I could hold a brush and do something with it. Whathever would happen I would post my work. And my first attempt at the scenery, was not very conclusive, I decided to start all over. Painting Tilda was another story, I have never done skin. It's kind of tricky to mix ink and find a proper shade, I also had my Copics technique in mind, and did not know if the same shading could be found with inks. Working on a wet surface, is totally different than blending on a paper that absorbs slowly!  And this is what I came up with. It was a happy day inded. I reconcile with my brushes, Tilda must really be an angel. Hope it brings sun in your day. Oh! Happy Days!

C'est notre 14 défi, et nous sommes le 14! Tout à fait spécial! J'aime faire ce genre d'association... Cette semaine Christina et moi se demandions bien quel défi nous allions relever. Ce n'est pas cela qui manque! Mais nous voulions quelque chose de différent pour nous inspirer. Je lui ai proposé un thème musical, une chanson... Elle m'est revenue avec Happy Days are Here Again! Certains se rappelleront une émission de télé mettant en vedette HenryWinkler dans ce rôle inoubliable de Fonzie; d'autres entendront une toute jeune BArbra Streisand et Judy Garland chanter ce thème... Je me demandais bien quelle inspiration allais venir, j'ai bien pensé faire porter le rôle de Fonz à Edwin... mais, non. Puis, je me suis surprise à chanter Happy Days toute lajournée, pour voir Tilda prendre la route du bonheur! Mais ce n'est pas tout, je voulais me donner un grand défi personnel. J,ai ressorti récemment mes pinceaux. J'adore l'aquarelle, pour sa transparence et sa légèreté. Je me suis dit qu'il était temps que je me mouille. Peu importe le résultat de mon coloriage, il allait être publié dans cette chronique. Je me suis permis de recommencer le paysage, je n'aimais pas beaucoup mon vert!Mais Tilda est l'original. C'est la première fois que j'expérimentais le coloriage à l'encre distress, ce fut une "Happy day". Entre l'aquarelle et moi, il y  a une suite de rendez-vous ratés, qui ont entraîné une certaine capitulation. Il était temps, de retrousser mes manches. Voilà, le résultat. Tilda doit être un ange, elle m'a certainement tenu la main. J,espère que cette cène mettra beaucoup de soleil dans votre journée.

Recipe/ Recette:
Stamps/ étampes: Tilda with backpack available at Diana's Magnolia-licious.
                                  Floral background also available at Diana's.
I stamped the background on Bristol paper, however, Tilda is stamped on 140 lb watercolor paper.  I have used Distress Inks and Stampin Up: Tattered Rose, Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick, Shabby shutter, peeled paint, weathered Woods, Stormy Sky, Faded Jeans, Tea Dye, Pumice Stone, Black Soot; in SU, Chocolate Chip, Creamy Caramel, Ruby Red, Blush Blossom, Summer Sun, Bashful blue.
The lovely frame is cut with Reminisce Cricut Cartridge . The floral corner is a Cuttlebug die cut. The fence is from Magnolia Doo Hickey, No 12 Lovely Fence also from Magnolia-licious, and leaves are also from Magnolia.  The sentiment is from Stampin up set, Saisir la vie and the tag was cut with Reminisce cartridge.  The DP's and the cardstock are Stampin Up. Flowers and ribbon, from my stash; the flowers were colored with Distress ink to match shades of pink.
J,ai utlisé du papier Bristol pour l'étampe de fonds, mais du papier aquarelle, 140lb, pour Tilda. C'est avec la cassette Reminisce de Cricut que j'ai coupé le cadre ainsi que l'étiquette. Le sentiment provient du jeu Saisir la vie deStampin Up. Le coin en fleur est une découpe de Cuttlebug; la cloture et les feuilles sont de Magnolia (Doo Hickey). Les fleurs et les rubans de mon inventaires, les fleurs sont colorées avec les distess pour s'agencer parfaitement avec les teintes choisies.

Holidays are really behind us... Fini le temps des fêtes!

2011 is already 10 days old! I removed all outside decorations on the 2nd, the weather was just perfect. For some reason, I left my Christmas tree until yesterday! This is a very new attitude for me. I guess I am getting closer to a real reconciliation with the Holidays! It's a big step, the first one was participating in Christmas all year long blog hop, all through2010! I must confess I have never been a Christmas Holiday person, more the kind to hibernate on the 24 and wake up on the 2nd! All good things have an end, and if crafting is a therapy for me, this card I started before Christmas is very representative of how it helps me letting my feelings inspire me. With Tilda and Edwin, I offered my Christmas wishes HERE;  I saluted 2010 and the in between week HERE; and, finally welcomed 2011 with Tilda taking along the New Year and my dancing little couple rejoycing HERE! Closing celebrations is in the order of things, and I asked Wilma to help me carry the message. I decorated the back of my card, bearing the word "FIN" (the end) like the last screen of a movie. Since all the other panels were inside the house, I decided this one would show the same window from the outside. ..
I stamped and embossed in black this wonderful background from IMpression Obsession on watercolor paper. I colored with distress inks in Antique linen, pumice stone, black soot, and Stampin up Going grey and Sahara Sand. I sprayed with a bit of perfect pearl and water to give a glitter look. The window stamp is the same, from Stampin Up set A ma fenêtre; stamped, embossed and colored with acrylic paint. I used a lamp sticker to give the impression of a real window and decorated with glitter. Wilma and the post are from Magolia stamps, (I can't see them at Magnolia-licious, however, Diana will be pleased to inform you as to their availability); both colored with copics, and acrylic glitter paint for the post. Thelittle light garland is an embossing folder from Cuttlebug, on which I used Stickles in green, red and silver for the lights. The snow is white cardstock sprayed with glimmer mist in Pear and Spanish moss. The snow on the post and window sill is flower soft.

2011 a déjà 10 jours! Cette fin de semaine, j'ai rangé toutes les décorations de Noël, mon salon a retrouvé son air habituel!  Il n'y a maintenant presque plus de traces des fêtes. Ce qui est particulier cette année, c'est que j'ai conservé mon sapin beaucoup plus longtemps, faut croire que je me réconcilie tranquillement avec les fêtes. C'est probablement une conséquence du défi de Magnolia-licious Chrismas All year long,puisque chaque mois je me remettais doucement dans l'esprit des fêtes histoire de créer une carte! Comme toute bonne chose a une fin, je tenais à souligner que vraiment le temps des fêtes est derrière nous. Je vous ai offert mes voeux avec celui-ci; j'ai pris le temps de saluer 2010 avec celui-ci; et d'annoncer l'arrivée de 2011 avec celui-ci.  Alors, que dire de décorer l'endos de la carte ...comme dans un film, avec le mot "fin"? Voici donc ma version.
J'ai étampé et embossé à la poudre noire l'étampe  de fonds de Impression Obsession sur un papier aquarelle; j'ai utilisé les encres distress suivantes: Antique linen, Pumice stone et Black soot ainsi que celles de Stampin Up: sable du sahara et grisonnant. Le tout vaporisé avec un peu d'eau mêlée à du perfect pearl. La fenêtre, toujours la même étampe, du jeu de SU A ma fenêtre, embossée en noir et peinte à l'acrylique. Pour donner l'illusion de vie derrière la fenêtre, j'ai collé un collant lampadaire, ajouté des brillants et des Stickles. L'affiche et Wilma sont de Magnolia (je ne les vois pas présentement chez Magnolialicious mais Diana peut certainement vous renseigner quant à la disponibilité future). J,ai  colorié au Copic, et pour l'affiche, j'ai ajouté de l'acrylique scintillant et embossé le mot "fin" à la poudre noire. Un carton blanc vaporisé de Glimmer mist, en blanc perle et Spanish moss, déchiré et enduit de Stickles a servi à créer la neige. J'ai ajouté aux pattes de Wilma un peu de flower soft blanc, ainsi que sur le bord de la fenêtre et au dessus de l'affiche.
Créer est une thérapie bienfaisante pour moi, et cette carte en est un exemple parfait. Le temps des fêtes en 4 tableaux dans lesquels j'ai laissé parler mes sentiments. J,espère que cela vous a plu.

Inventory Challenge NO. 13 AND Thank You Ruby

Good Friday dear Friends,

I have received from my dear friend Ruby a wonderful award. Thank you so much Ruby, for naming me. I am truly very touched . However, inasmuch as I am happy to receive it, I will not be able to fill in all the conditions.

Another week has gone by. Christina and I are happy to welcome you to our first Inventory Challenge of 2011. Christina came up with a recipe: 4 flowers, 2 ribbons and 4 patterned papers. I never thought I would struggle so much! Upon visiting her blog one morning I found a wonderful sketch from Duymelot Design Team that would allow me to use 4 patterned papers... I was left with an image to showcase, insert ribbon somewhere, and my "terror" having to put flowers!!!!! Until last night, I was still struggling, believe me. I managed to put everything together before I went to bed! I will post later with all the details of my card... it is now past 12h00!

As promised, this morning, with a good coffee, I will describe fully my card .I received from Christina the lovely paper and this fabulous set of stamps- you can be assured you will see these swirls in several cards to come. Thanks Hun! I used paper from this very lovely BoBunny, Crazy Love Collection.. All the cardstocks are from Stampin Up. I don't know the name of the cute Anglar stamp, I colored her with Copics, her wings are covered with Stickles, in Fruit Punch and Frosted Lace, and the little heart is covered with glossy accent. I decorated the edges with this wonderful set of stamp called Vintage Garden from STempelglede, I used chocolate chip from SU, embossed with clear embossing powder and distressed with Walnut Stain, Worn Lipstick and Tattered Rose. The scalloped rectangle was cut with a nesti. Flowers were colored with Glimmer Mist, Crème de rouge. Ribbons are from my stash. The hidden tag is cut with Magnolia die cut. thank you for your visit and encouragements. They bring sunshine in my day!

Une autre semaine se termine déjà, et ramène en ce vendredi notre défi amical ! Cette fois Christina et moi vous proposons une recette: 4 fleurs, 2 rubans et 4 papiers design différents. Je ne pensais jamais qu'une telle recette gèlerait mon inspiration! Si vous lisez le texte anglais, j'ai terminé hier à 12h00, et ce matin, avec un bon café, je vous donne les détails de ma carte.  Les magnifiques papiers de la collection Crazy Love de BoBunny que j'ai reçu en cadeau de ma chère Christina. Les cartons sont de Stampin Up. J,ignore le nom de ma petite image hAnglar; je l'ai coloriée aux Copics, sesailes sont couvertes de Stickles en FrostedLace et Fruit Punch, j'ai posé une couche de Glossy Accent sur le coeur pour lui donner du volume. Le tour de l'image est décoré avec une magnifique étampe provenant d'un set de Stempleglede, Vintage garden, également un cadeau de Christina. Merci chère amie. Les images sont encrées avec Chocolate Chip de SU, embossé à la poudre claire, et coloriées avec Walnut Stain, Worn Lipstick, et Tattered Rose de Distress. Le rectangle au dessous del'image est coupé avec un spellbinder. Les fleurs, coloriées avec du Glimmer Mist, Crème de rouge, ainsique le les rublans sont de mon inventaire. J'ai aussi caché un tag afin d'écrire un sentiment, il est coupé avec la découpe de Magnolia.
