Inventory Challenge No. 29: First Stamp or Precious Stamp

Good Friday to you all,
My late posting is not due to the Royal Wedding... I only an unforseen event that took me away from my crafting table, so I was unable to terminate my card.

Bon vendredi Matin,
Christina and I are very pleased to welcome you to our 26th inventory challenge. OH! Do we have a fantastic theme this week...  Our first stamp or a very precious stamp, and please let us know what is so special about it.

The stamp I have chosen to present today is the very first Magnolia stamp I got; although she has a twin (Spring Tida), Tilda in spring rain from the 2009 Chasing Butterflies Collection, is the very first Magnolia I got. I was not convinced about Magnolias at all. I did not connect with Tilda either. Just loved her umbrella, rain boots and braids with bow! The little girl I wished I would have looked like! Actually, I could not understand all the excitement around the upcoming pre-order of a new collection discussed on a group I had joined.

If you go back on my blog, the very first Magnolia card I posted features Spring Tilda. Something magic happened when I colored her, something I could not explain at the time, because  I was very busy in a drawing course, and eager to complete it to start my journey in watercolor. I was very far from imagining that Tilda would provide me with exactly the feeling I was desperately searching  elsewhere, in a much more complicated world. In time, I understood that Tilda and I were "compatible" and together we formed a team. With Tilda, I was able to let go, to play, to become the little girl I was once,  coloring in her book, with her Prismacolor crayons - at the time the lead did not break! Since then, each time I color Tilda, magic operates. I do connect more with certain Tildas, but the time I spend with her is always magical...

                                                         My second Magnolia card!
                                                       Ma 2e carte Magnolia

I can't resist a new collection, I'm addicted; I've tried to be reasonable, but to no avail. I wrote on this blog once, I told my husband to save my maggie collection FIRST,  in case of a fire.   Confession of an addicted Magnolia stamper. Ouf... I feel better now, on to my card!

RECIPE:

I used the wonderfu sketch from Paper take weeklySketch No. 55, for my card:
the wonderful paper is from Graphic 45, Once upon a springtime and was a gift from my dear friend Christina. Tilda was colored with Copics, the rain is made of Stickles, Diamond and Frosted lace. The corner is from Cuttlebug, the swirls and leaves from Magnolia dies, the flowe from my stash is colored with glimmer mist in Sand, Harvest color and Crème de rouge. The ribbon is from Pierre Belvedère, all my cardstocks from Stamping up. In the inside, I used MS punch border.

J'ai utilisé le sketch de Paper Take Weekly, NO. 45.

Oh, what a beautiful card, Danielle! I really loved your story. I was thinking of myself too barely some months ago when I discovered the Magnolia stamps. Seems like ages ago... But me, on the contrary, I fell in love with them instantly. There's something about them, you're right, something like magic and makes you want them all. I barely have about 70 or so, but I think it is a huge collection for a such short period of time.
Your card here is simply delightful. Love the elegant look and the great colors you brought together. That bow looks lush and the big rose is simply gorgeous. Great colorwork, goes wihtout saying:)
Have a great week-end sweetie and thank you for this adorable story and card!
Hugs, Iulia
